Finding Myself in Thee: Short Stories & Poetry
()
About this ebook
“Finding Myself in Thee” is a
book of short stories and poetry inspired by God with the help of many people
who asked me to write and create for specific occasions.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> The short stories are practical revelations
of the natural, correlating with the spiritual.
Each day that I wrote a story, I consulted the Lord about what to write,
and I asked for divine intervention. It
not only touches the heart, but meant to move you into a new realm of life in
him.

GRATITUDE OF THANKS
No words can really express the gratitude
that’s felt for what you have done.
Being that the heart is one of the
deepest places that one can go.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart
THE POWER IN MORE THAN ONE
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
…… Matthew 18: 20
While sitting here thinking, my mind went all the way back to God creating the heaven and the earth, and of course, I can’t forget, man. I began to think about how awesome God is. Who He is, the all-knowing, all-seeing mighty God. Suddenly it hit me! God is the God in three persons, the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. Yes, I’ve known this and believed this as long as I can remember, but it struck me this time in a different way. I heard the Spirit of the Lord say unto me, The Power In More Than One.
Well, the Lord reminded me of who He is and His creation. After God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost created the heavens and the earth, fish of the sea and all the fowls of the air and saw that it was good, they said, "Let Us Make Man in Our Own Image, After Our Likeness……". (Genesis 1:26) When God created Adam, it didn’t take long for Him to realize that Adam needed a help meet. If you look at all the other things that He created, you’d notice that they all had a way of reproducing or multiplying themselves. God had a master plan. Have you notice how high the divorce rate is in the world today? And why? Marriage is the one union that God ordained. The devil hates the very sound of it. Why? Because there’s so much power in two becoming one. There’s also power when the saints unite together and get on one accord. The enemy wants to divide us, but the Word of God let’s us know that if one can put a thousand to a flight, how many more of Satan’s demons can we put to flight if we bind together.
Remember, the Word says in Proverbs, That two are better than one, for if the one falls, the other can help him up.
My brother, my sister, let’s not let the enemy bring division in our homes, our churches, and our friendships, because there’s power in more than one.
LOVE AND MARRIAGE
The depth of Love and Marriage goes
deeper than this finite mind
can begin to imagine…
Only two hearts that have become one
can know its’ magic and infinity.
A BALL OF EMOTIONS
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God…… Romans 12: 1, 2
In the beginning, when sin came into the world, God knew he had some work to do. Sin brought confusion, division and every negative force that you can think of in the world today. One of the wonderful things about God is, he uses our negative situations as stepping stones to positive transformation. Many children are raised in one parent homes for several different reasons. A few of the reasons that come to mind are; parents separating, divorcing, one parent dying, children born out of wedlock being raised by one parent, a grandparent or even an adopted parent. Can you imagine the mixed emotions that one can feel when separated from one or both parents, through which he or she is born, by the two having become one? Some can only imagine the feelings of rejection, feelings of guilt, never feeling good enough and last but not least, the feeling that something is missing. A child doesn’t understand the reasons for being disconnected from it’s parents, for example, when a parent passes away. All the child knows is that something is missing, that there’s a disconnection somewhere. Although God places many of these children in Christian based homes, they’re yet left with a ball of emotions to deal with. How many of you know that the enemy plays on our emotions? When children receive mixed signals, they get mixed messages, and that’s when the enemy brings in the spirit of confusion. After these messages have been played over and over in a child’s mind for so many years, it takes God to transform and renew their mind in order for them to see things clearly. It is said that, by the age of five, a child has formed their opinion about the way things should be according to their training. As you can see, it takes a short amount of time for an opinion to be formed, but it can take years for transformation and the renewing of the mind. Many of these children have a hard time balancing life. There are usually extremities shown in some area of their lives, for lack of balance from missing one or both parents that would complete the family unit. How do I know these things? I am a product of a broken home. Only by the grace of God and a praying mother am I where I am today. The Lord came into my life at the age of 15years. By then a thought pattern had been formed and had its’ grip on me. Thank God that I had a mother who had accepted Christ and raised me up in the church community. While, this helped me form more positive thought patterns, there were things that I still didn’t comprehend. I was taught to do unto others as I would have others do unto me. I saw my mother constantly giving gifts and doing things for me, my four sisters and others. I always tried to be respectful and kind to other people because that’s the way I was raised and especially after the Lord saved me. I realize now after many years that there were some very strong thoughts formed trying to hold
