Jesus Says It Is Finished
Author

Shirley Jean Street

A mother’s prayers influenced the funding of Shirley’s early Christian education. With her guidance, a dutiful daughter learned to love Jesus, and took baptism seriously. To attend a Christian Academy, Shirley’s parents agreed she should live with church members near the school. This decision changed her life. Cruel abuses during grades 9 and 10 were indelible stains. Feeling betrayed, and unprotected, Shirley chose to blame God. After meeting her husband Wayne, she learned to trust again. Utilizing his gift in music, and hers for writing lyrics, their music ministry, “Messengers of the Cross” became a mutual passion. His desire to know Jesus motivated Shirley’s goal, driven by purpose, to write, Jesus Says, It Is Finished.

    Dedication

Wayne T. Street is a faithful servant of God and my loving husband for over thirty years. He has encouraged me to pursue a task for which I felt unworthy. During my research, writing, prayers, and struggles to portray the life of Jesus through His eyes, Wayne’s patience was a lifeline. With devotion and love, our prayer is to serve the Master of the Universe. A morning worship commitment has proven to be a blessing to our marriage and Christian journey. We dedicate Wayne’s gift as a musician of many instruments, and my Christ-centered lyrics to our Music Ministry, Messengers of the Cross.com. By the grace of God, our mutual goal is to live the principles of heaven, and be a beacon of light to family, friends, and neighbors.

    Introduction

In John 21:25, the writer supposes if everything of Jesus were in print, the earth could not contain the books. Sincere prayers accompany this portrayal of God the Son’s mission-driven incarnation to a planet destined to destruct, without his intervention. Selflessly, he wishes to bring Father’s lost children back into His arms. The Holy Council plans to restore the Garden of Eden, recreate it forever perfect, and sin-free. Sharing the promise of salvation to repentant sinners means Jesus honors his vow to be an example of divine love and justice. To review his wondrous story is to gain spiritual knowledge, have peace of mind, and hope for your future. Because your Savior is with you always, humbly begin and end your day with confident prayer. God the Father expresses love, compassion, and a wish to connect with His wandering children through the incarnation of His Son. An essential part of salvation includes Jesus experiencing the challenges of being human and divine. Marvels from heaven and lessons in nature are sermons he shares with his followers. While a mutual enemy schemes to deceive humans, the great controversy that began in God’s kingdom, now rages on earth. To make them imagine God is a cruel, demanding judge, who condemns with stubborn vengeance, Satan distorts truth. Because he thrives on evil, this fallen angel expects you to believe the Almighty wants to inflict punishment void of grace, or mercy. With the sacrifice of his holy blood, Jesus disproves these lies. In spirit and truth, you are free from false ideas and doubt the devil spreads. Those safe to save for heaven, appreciate God’s embrace and justice. Jesus invites you to study his ministry as Father’s Sacrificial Lamb. Understand the effect of a life driven by purpose. Appreciate the plan of salvation, and claim the promise of eternal bliss in the presence of God.

    Chapter One

    Jesus, the Incarnated Christ

This passionate narrative comes from the viewpoint of a human and divine Jesus Christ, the incarnated Son of God. Bringing wayward children home to heaven is my goal. Pray to understand my history from the cradle to the cross. Father promises a walk on the crystal sea of glass to every person who believes I am His Son. ¹Our plan of salvation offers you royal status as the sons and daughters of God. ²Faithful believers will enjoy an eternal life full of adventures, discoveries, explorations of other worlds, and a continuous gift of increasing knowledge.

While ignoring ticking timepieces, inhale a calming breath. Prayerfully come into my presence. To prove my love for you, I am sharing the story of my mission-driven incarnation to earth. An important part of this ministry includes lessons with words of advice to encourage and guide sincere seekers of truth.

Precise motion is used to sustain the worlds We created. ³Flawless climate exists on planets We inhabit with intelligent beings who have an inborn need to worship. Problems develop after the creation of Lucifer, a magnificent angel. ⁴Before pride converts him into Satan his position of honor was above all other angels. Perverted desires continue to the point his affair with iniquity is unstoppable. Heaven’s enemy insults free choice by pursuing a vain ambition to sit on the throne of the Most High.

A gracious offer of pardon seems worthless to the one who instigates a fuming war in paradise. He sways one-third of the angelic host to join his rebellion. ⁵For thirty-three years on planet earth, the universe watches how my moral lifestyle vindicates Father’s reputation.

Repulsed by the infestation of wickedness, people search Scripture to know why I leave Paradise to be the Lamb of Sacrifice on a speck of light in the cosmos. ⁶My journey to Calvary includes spiritual guidance for you, so we may develop a close friendship.

Learn the story of redemption, and Holy Spirit inspiration becomes obvious. When counting the cost of your liberation from Satan consider my divine love. In my name pray, and believe Zion’s gate is open to those who claim the saving robe of righteousness. A vow to be the world’s Redeemer presents a real risk of a permanent separation from our Father.

Salvation costs the death of your True Ransom. Peace everlasting is the promise to repentant sinners. ⁸God wants you to be a part of the Royal Family Reunion. Pray for the Holy Spirit to intervene so you may understand the wonder of divinity flashing through humanity.

Exchanging magnificent surroundings to enter an evil darkness is a difficult choice, which affects all beings who worship Heaven’s King. While I am walking the earth to rescue God’s children, my crown, and noble garments wait on the throne next to Father until I return.

Imagine adventures in an enchanted place kissed with a lingering sunset. Take a stroll in fields wrapped with sweet aromas. Float with multicolored fish. Dance in the sunlight with snowflakes. These pleasant images paint tiny glimpses of the bliss I left, so you may experience everlasting redemption.

The promise of salvation to fallen humanity requires me to endure primitive, poor conditions. To entrust my care into the hands of mortal parents, means, they must face difficult challenges. Sorrow and heartbreak prove the majority denies the Messiah’s arrival.

Those among the faithful few appreciate divine love radiating from the Promised One. Claim the faith of Jesus and replicate every part of my ministry. God’s righteous and just nature must be clear to a watching universe.

Transforming into a baby allows me to incarnate as the Messiah. Experiences during my life on earth testify my qualifications to be the Ransom. Consequences of sin show salvation’s plan exposes a devil thriving on the torment and demise of humankind.

My proving Lucifer to be the root of evil is a worthy mission. One day, Satan and his followers will face the fires of hell. Our vision of the old world made new inspires the written chart of my incarnation. The goal to rescue believers assures my transformation into a human dot on a tiny planet in the enormity of space. Great Wisdom determines the reward of souls redeemed to live in heaven outweighs the sacrifice of sacred blood.

Intercession to save mortals is in motion. A king exchanges his royal wardrobe for simple garments. Each phase of this service progresses with Father’s perfect timing. Forever reminders of the ridicule, and hateful curses inflicted at Calvary, are my sacrificial scars. Shame veils my humility while I hang on a cross Romans designed to cause a slow torturous death.

Step back in time and envision creation week. After creating blissful surroundings, I form a mortal being in Our image. Life-sustaining soil of Eden is what I used to create human number one, Adam. ¹⁰While naming creatures of the land, sea, air, he notices the males have female mates, so the companion search begins. To induce sleep and use Adam’s rib is symbolic. Because God used Adam’s rib to make Eve, he called her woman. ¹¹

When Eve’s feminine splendors come into view, his heart rate intensifies. In a paradise of every sweet pleasure imaginable, attraction is mutual between the first married couple. Two genius minds merge to investigate the marvels of God’s creation.

A tree bearing the title, Knowledge of Good and Evil, thrives in the Garden of Eden for a specific reason. ¹²They pledge to stay a safe distance from it, to prove loyalty. Mediation and freedom of choice are gifts. Ask, and I will be your Mediator. Believe your needs matter to God. Daily decisions are easier to make when you study Scripture. Praying in my name, Jesus is the best way to seek spiritual guidance. Accept the mysteries of heaven by faith. Live a life driven by purpose, so you can surface the pure waters of truth, refreshed with Holy Spirit power.

Hesitant to admit a fascinating creature is an enemy, their tested willpower collapses into millenniums of unhappiness. While Adam is intrigued with wonders of nature, Eve hopes to satisfy her curiosity. Fruit, from a serpent whose mesmerizing voice persuades victims, falls into her hands. False ideas that sin is exciting embrace her with an exhilarating surge. As sensuous smiles charm Adam into taking a bite, a gush of nerves invades his body. ¹³

Eve mimics the devil’s phrase, ‘we have godly wisdom.’ The reality of these words shocks him. Struggling with the thought of eternal separation from his wife and Divine Creator is real. Dark blinders help him ignore a troubled conscience. Consequences of breaking a vow start with cursed fruit turning acidic in his throat, reminding Adam of betrayal. This loving couple exchange innocence for terrifying knowledge.

Eyes opening to evil cause a troubling sense of shame, a gloomy substitute for a vanished veil of light.

Their need to quiet a thunderous fear of unfamiliar feelings and anticipation of punishment makes them hide. Ashamed of being unfaithful to God, a sad nude couple dashes into thick foliage. On chafing knees, they pick large fig leaves to weave together, but an impractical garment cannot replace translucent robes. ¹⁴Under a naked tree, Adam slumps beside Eve. Fearful of facing God, trembling hands hold droopy heads throbbing with a painful, nauseating worry. How strange to see unrecognizable tears trickle through shivering fingers.

A husband and wife enjoying every conceivable blessing had daily access to the garden’s central Tree of Life. ¹⁵Without it death is inevitable. Accusations that tarnish sweet love escape their hiding spot. Adam’s excuse is Eve’s tantalizing behavior. Panicky Eve attempts to transfer blame onto a clever serpent, who promised instant intelligence.

The Creator makes coats of skin to cover them. These practical garments teach a valuable lesson. ¹⁶Killing innocent lambs, to mask their nakedness, is the terrible, realistic cost of sin. Pitiful, avoidable scenes of animals dying will haunt them.

Adam and Eve are learning the consequences of disobeying God. To realize innocent creatures can die horrifies a couple devoted to the animal kingdom. Reviewing their sin is how they empathize with living things struggling to survive. Because being your Ransom is my pledged payment, the repentant anticipate immortality in the presence of God. ¹⁷

From the beginning, Satan helped humankind plot my execution. The substitute Ransom is specific. Universal transfusions of forgiveness for contrite hearts demand sacred blood flowing from the cross. This embracing covenant weaves a grand rope of hope into a lifeline they will share for generations. Divine mercy is an accessible reprieve, yet most of their descendants deny the Messiah. Enslaved followers of the devil stay mutinous to the end.

Describing Eden as a splendid place with flawless weather paints a faint picture of their heaven on earth. Land cursed with thorns, thistles, natural disasters are nightmarish to soul mates who knew perfect happiness. ¹⁸Now they must acclimate to a harsh environment.

Losing access to the Tree of Life is the worst effect of choosing defiance. Death is the price of a broken promise, careless or deliberate. The unavoidable decision to expel Adam and Eve breaks my heart. Their vow to keep a conditional gift, everlasting existence in the Garden, was loyalty to their Creator. Two promises are part of their sincere confessions, pray daily, and be receptive to Holy Spirit guidance. When the weary pair leaves to contend with dangerous terrain, which guarantees a difficult lifestyle, their confidence is in my pledge to redeem them.

Backward glances from a hostile environment, is a painful sight to watch. Whispered wishes exchanged at the gates of paradise, cannot amend an irreversible sentence. Near the east of the garden, Cherubim standing guard with a flaming sword are sensitive to tearful goodbyes. ¹⁹

Adam and Eve pray to make wiser choices. They are hopeful their children will understand why the exile from the garden was avoidable.

Heaven’s gift of spiritual wisdom helps a remorseful couple understand freedom of choice determines everlasting life or damnation. Because identifying with mortal concerns is part of my ministry, I defend your best interest.

With no evidence, unbelievers claim Lady Luck shares good fortune with the favored. Blamed for every hardship, the ignorant throw darts of lies at God daily. It is our wish to be your center of adoration. Natural inclinations to worship are blessings given to created beings. Preferring lifeless idols is why many people turn from the Creator. The price of selfish disdain toward God is death.

Repentant hearts ask the Giver of immortality to forgive them, and have mercy. When I share the plan of salvation, Eve imagines she could be the mother of the Promised Messiah. This hope lessens her sorrow.

Fruit missing from the forbidden tree is visual proof that Adam and Eve broke their promise. An unwise act of coveting divine intelligence, which includes knowledge of evil, led to the loss of their Eden home. Eternal peace is the final reward for all God’s children who faithfully practice righteous principles. Disgust for wickedness, and loving everything virtuous, is the nature of Divinity. Our plan of salvation begins. Father’s prophetic clock chimes and prophecy becomes a reality. Holy Spirit power changes me into a tiny seed. The King of Glory exchanges a place of honor for a straw-lined manger in Bethlehem.

Mary, a virtuous woman, nurtures me with the instincts of a loving mother. People in harmony with Scripture share the nativity of the prophesied Messiah. Mission ready, the Word made flesh wants to save the universe from the curse of sin. ²⁰

Because Mary decided early in life to mirror the Commandments, hers is a blessing granted to no other mortal. Angel Gabriel, who fills the position Lucifer denounced, delivers a message to this young virgin girl. ²¹Immaculate Conception by the Holy Spirit is how Mary conceives the Christ Child. ²²An angel’s sudden appearance is frightening, but his calm explanation helps her understand a humbling privilege. ²³

After she gracefully accepts this wondrous gift, the thought of how a fiancé will react is troublesome. ²⁴Joseph doubts Mary’s virginity after hearing her peculiar story. ²⁵He is concerned gossipers who thrive on stretching rumors will hurl criticism. Wanting to ease Mary’s obvious disappointment, and his heartache, he spends hours agonizing in prayer. In a dream, he learns they are the chosen parents of the Christ Child. ²⁶

With sensitivity, Gabriel explains how I become a seed capable of developing into a human and divine baby. Name me, Jesus, Emmanuel, which means God with us, is an important part of his instructions. ²⁷

Acceptance of Mary’s miraculous pregnancy allows their wedding plans to continue. The birth of Christ, the promised offspring of Abraham is a revolutionary event, during a difficult time in history. ²⁸Callous Roman rulers control a captured chosen nation. Because priests teach that the Messiah will free them from the Romans, they misinterpret my plan to ransom Father’s children from the chains of sin. Repetitive ceremonies, burdensome rules their leaders invent, and sermons with no substance bore the people. Jews, waiting for the Messiah’s advent, know ritual sacrifices practiced by worshipers of false gods are evil in
