The Fairy and the Witch
()
About this ebook
It is an enchanted tale and the fairy introduces him to a number of her friends including the other fairy folk and her good friend the witch.
They all regularly meet up for tea breaks and in the local pubs. It is a story of friendship and fairy tales. Writing this story has helped me a lot with my mental health issues.
Writing both these books has been like a form of escapism. I hope you will enjoy reading this book, and I hope it takes your mind off your troubles too. ENJOY.

My name is STEVEN LESLIE GOLDING and I live in Bristol. I now live on my own since the loss of my dear beloved parents who I miss so much. I was very lucky to have had such a loving Mum and Dad. I like to believe like the Shamans that we will meet our loved ones when we die, that’s what is keeping me going. Sadly I do suffer severe mental health problems and I take medication to help control my mood patterns. It is a living nightmare. I hope this story will give you some inspiration to maybe do some writing yourself. I am aiming this story at people with mental health conditions like myself, but anyone can read it too. My inspiration is the lovely town of Glastonbury. I visit there most weekends, everyone makes me feel so welcome here. It is a lovely friendly spiritual town. Many thanks. Blessed be.

THE FAIRY AND THE WITCH
My name is Steven Leslie Golding and this story is a continuation of my first book Peace in a troubled world a fairy tale. If you read this book you will know that I put myself in the story as an organic gardener who befriends a fairy in the garden. In this enchanted tale my friend the fairy will introduce me to her friend the witch. She also in my first story introduced me to her friend the mermaid who lives in Dorset.
It is now late winter and in the New Year we will be opening the new café in our lovely organic garden. We have almost finished the project and I will start plastering the walls soon, and when the first signs of spring comes I will be rendering the outside walls.
On the Monday morning as I arrived at work in the lovely organic kitchen garden I thought that I would start plastering the walls in the new café that will be opening up very shortly. So as I arrived I thought I had better order some bags of plaster from the man who supplied all of the building material throughout last summer. When I rang him he said he was not that busy at the moment so he could deliver within the hour. Great I said I will see you then. It was nine o clock so I thought I would have my first cup of tea and a lovely chocolate biscuit. As I was pouring my tea my friend the fairy appeared. I said oh it’s lovely to see you won’t you join me for a cup of tea and a biscuit. Oh lovely she said you really spoil me, don’t you. No I said its always a pleasure to see you.
THE FAIRY AND THE WITCH
I said to my friend the fairy that I had just ordered some plaster and he will be able to deliver within the hour so we can stop and have a nice chat. Great said the fairy I always look forward to our chats and tea and chocolate biscuits.
She said I have something interesting to tell you about the archaeologist’s recent dig back in the summer. Oh that’s great what have you heard. Well said the fairy, they have discovered that the remains they found were estimated to be over a thousand years old. Oh really I replied that’s fascinating. Yes my friend the fairy said, I am always interested in historical facts. I think they are planning on doing another dig next summer only about five miles from the last dig, so that will be something to look forward to as well.
My friend the fairy said I had better let you get on and as if by magic the man with the bags of plaster arrived. I said what good timing, and with that she blew me a kiss and disappeared as if by magic.
That morning I managed to get one wall plastered and I was very pleased with that, as I have already said that I don’t rush around these days I just plod on at my own steady pace.
It was now lunch time and I was starting to feel a bit Hungary, I had brought some cheese and onion crusty rolls, and I brought enough for my friend the fairy, I know that this is her favourite rolls. As I was going to open my lunch she appeared, once again as if by magic. GREAT.
THE FAIRY AND THE WITCH
As we started chatting she said she had a dear friend that she would like to introduce me to in the new year. She said that she lived in Cornwall and we could go to visit her in the near future. Oh great I said I will very much look forward to that. She also said she will be visiting hear some time in the New Year too, Oh that sounds really good, She said her dear friend was a witch and she performs some wonderful magic, she is really great. Oh I can’t wait to meet her I said, I am also a Wiccan too. So this will be like a dream come true. Great said my friend the fairy, I will very much look forward to that.
After lunch I decided to plaster one of the smaller walls that afternoon, as I mentioned earlier I don’t rush round these days as I am almost in my mid-fifties I take life at a much steadier pace now.
About three o clock I decided to stop for another tea and biscuit break and my friend the fairy appeared. She said the new plastered walls are coming on well. I said oh thank you very much. She said you are quite good at that, I am impressed. Oh that’s really kind words I appreciate that.
She said she would be going to a pub tonight would you like to join me later on. I said yes I will very much look forward to that, many thanks. She said that’s okay I enjoy your company.
THE FAIRY AND THE WITCH
That night I met up with my friend the fairy in one of the local pubs. We had a really nice evening. She told me we could meet up with her friend the witch probably in the next few weeks, and we could stay for a weekend. I said oh that sounds great, I am really looking forward to that.
My friend the fairy is as lovely as
Can be, she really means that much
To me. She will take me to see
Her friend the witch in a few weeks
Time, she is so very kind.
I am so looking forward to that
For sure, meeting new friends
Can open doors. BLESSED BE.
It was now eleven o clock and we said we had both better be getting home now. We had both drank five pints of beer and we both had to get up early in the morning. So I walked my friend the fairy back to her home underground, and she blew me a kiss and disappeared as if by magic.
I had to order some more bags of plaster in the morning, so I wanted to get into work by eight. So when I got back home I went straight to bed. I slept very well that night and got up at before seven, so I managed to get into work by eight.
THE FAIRY AND THE WITCH
I was pleased to get into work by eight. As soon as I arrived I phoned the man to ask him if he could deliver some more bags of plaster that morning, and he said he could deliver within the hour. Great I said, that’s very good of you. When you get here I will have a cup of tea waiting for you. Oh lovely said the man, most people I deliver to don’t bother to ask us if we would like a cup of tea, I can drink tea all day long. I said yes I could too.
I thought I would tackle one of the bigger walls this morning, and see how the time goes I might even be able to manage another one of the smaller ones in the afternoon. At ten thirty I decided to have another tea break. I was just wondering if I would see my friend the fairy today, and with that she appeared. I think we must be telepathic She said. Yes it would certainly appear that way I replied.
A cup of tea, for the fairy and me.
A cup of tea as lovely as can be.
A cup of tea so let it be.
A cup of tea and BLESSED BE.
We had now drank two pints of tea and a box of Jaffa cakes each. My friend the fairy said many thanks for the tea and Jaffa cakes, you’re so kind. I said that’s ok that’s what friends are for. Blessed be she said and with that she flew off.
THE FAIRY AND THE WITCH
I managed to plaster two walls that day, the larger of the two walls and a smaller wall in the afternoon. I would soon be thinking about giving the walls a coat of emulsion paint, when the plastered walls have had time to dry out.
I decided to call the man who delivered the plaster to see if he sold paint. I rang him and he said he had quite a large stock of paint
