About this ebook

Have you ever been attacked by a demon, confronted a satanic cult, or fought plain evil, or black, magic? Have you ever encountered and helped release earthbound ghosts? What about extraterrestrial aliens or even crime scene intuitive investigations? I have. Many times.

In this book, as the title implies, you will discover information about a few stories of my many years of interventions with ghosts, demons, and other nasty beings and situations. These are all true stories of my encounters with paranormal or psychic activities, which caused discomfort and harm to my clients and me. I am a ghost hunter, cult rescuer, exorcist, and warrior priest.

Some of the stories are about lost and confused souls. Others are of malevolent beings determined to wreak havoc. One is of a person determined to rid himself of alien intrusions. Not all stories are evil or frightening, but all are rewarding in one way or another.

All the stories are true, with names changed to protect innocents.

Laverne E. Denyer

Born into a world different from everyone around her, Laverne has had many experiences far beyond the norm. Her soul calling is to be a Warrior Priest. She helps people build healthy lives and follow their soul’s purpose through a variety of modalities. At the same time, she is a protector and guardian of the planet and its inhabitants. All of this while living a life as a wife, a mom, and many other roles in the mundane world. Laverne has written a variety of things over many decades. Some has been for fun or inspiration. Much has been for her books, classes, conferences, and lectures. A great deal of her technical writing experience was for the public-school system, local to national. Most importantly, Laverne has also always written about the metaphysical and spiritual realms. She has amassed quite a few items in a variety of genres and topics. She has worked in multiple settings throughout her life in both the mundane and esoteric world. As a retired (mostly) teacher, she finally has time and desire to strengthen and expand her holistic and spiritual work. In the mundane world, she has a B.A. with majors in Psychology and Religious studies, and a minor in Philosophy. Prior to that she earned an A.S. in Architectural Design. She also has an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction focused on Educational Technology, and a Tier I Educational Leadership degree and credential. On top of that, she has a religious PhD in Religious Studies and Psychological Counseling. Learning and applying what is learned through all modalities is the continual pattern of her life.

    FOREWORD

G entlepeople reading this book: I thank you for your time and energy.

In this book, as the title implies, you will discover information about my interventions with ghosts. demons, and other nasties (such as aliens, dark magic, mean people). These are true stories of my encounters with paranormal activities which caused discomfort and harm to my clients and/or me.

I trust the powers of God and this magnificent universe. I am fortunate to work with, and even more fortunate to positively affect, a wide variety of paranormal challenges. I have been reminded often by my guides that I am a spiritual warrior priest with obligations to be of aid when called. I believe I continue to meet that challenge with grace and facility.

Some of the stories are of lost and confused souls. Others are of malevolent beings determined to wreak havoc. One is of a person determined to rid himself of alien intrusions. Not all stories are evil or frightening. All are rewarding in one way or another.

All of the stories are true to the best of my memory. Exact dialogue and some minor details had to be reconstructed from my long memory. That means there may be minor verbiage errors. Yet the stories of the events are all true, written for you the reader.

I hope you enjoy this journey through my mind and life.

    My Life’s Motto:

I touch the stars with my feet on the ground.

Through this I gain strength and stability.

    PERSONAL STORIES OF

    GHOSTS, DEMONS &

    OTHER NASTIES

    THE HOUSE OF JOY

L isa had asked me, through my friend Mary, to go to her home to see what or who was haunting it. She didn’t sound too upset, yet she was insistent that she wanted my opinion and my help. Although this was one of my first real experiences with a de-haunting way back in the early 1970s, it is one I can never forget.

Before I begin, a short background, and maybe even a clue about the story would be good. Many readers may not be old enough to remember the fad of the long shag rugs. The pile on the rugs was at least 1 ½ long or more and seemed to show every footstep or other indentation. They could be quite lovely and were the height of elegant" interior design at the time. They were also a nuisance for upkeep. This story begins with a shag rug.

Shaking her head in wonder, my friend Mary told me about her friend Lisa who seemed to be plagued with a ghost, poltergeist, or something in her new apartment. This is one of the strangest things I’ve seen. It isn’t too scary, but it is disturbing. My friend Lisa is being bothered every day by something. She wants to know what it is about. I told her about you and the things you do. She is anxious to meet you, and have you go to her home and investigate.

I had known Mary for several years and found her to be level headed and intuitive. It surprised me that she felt she needed my help. Why do you need my help Mary? Isn’t this something you can handle?

She hesitated, then went on. Well, I’ve been over to the apartment and can’t quite figure it out. I know there is something or someone there, but I don’t know what. Strange things happen, but they don’t seem particularly evil; more like a trickster. I’d really like your take on this.

Ok. I trust you. Will you tell me more about what is happening? I asked.

Mary didn’t hesitate. I’d rather you go there and talk to Lisa yourself, and see what is going on. I think it is best if you go there no later than seven o’clock in the morning. Earlier if you can.

Huh? Why so early? Seemed a reasonable question.

It is better if you see this for yourself. The reason for the early time is that most of the apparitions take place overnight and show up in the morning. So, can you go over tomorrow morning? Mary was still being evasive, which was strange. She certainly piqued my imagination.

I agreed to meet Mary at Lisa’s apartment at 6:45 a.m. the next morning. It was only a couple miles from my home and I was often an early riser, so it worked out for me. I was glad I didn’t already have another client that morning. I was quite curious about the mystery my friend had built.

The next morning Mary and I drove separately to the apartment complex parking area almost simultaneously. We each found a parking spot and met on the driveway. Hi. I am so glad you could make it this morning, shouted Mary as she pointed me toward a specific door in the complex. I walked over and we shared a nice hug. A nice way to begin. She pointed at a door and went on with, That is the door to her apartment. When she answers the door, please only take one step into the room and look around. Don’t just walk right in as a person normally would. Take a good look at the floor first.

What’s on the floor? I asked.

You’ll see for yourself. It is better to get the full impact on your own without coaching. I’ll step in right behind you. Mary hesitated and looked at the door she had indicated. Let’s go knock on her door. I received a confirmation call from Lisa this morning, so I know she is waiting for us. We walked to the door and Mary knocked.

A lovely young woman barely in her twenties answered the door looking fresh and nicely groomed. She was holding a baby in her arms. Her eyes darted between Mary and me, then she greeted us as she opened the screen door. Good morning. I am glad you are here early. I think you will be surprised at what you see. Come on in and look around at the floor in the living room.

I stepped in and looked around as requested. Whoa… That is certainly interesting.

What I saw completely surprised me. They had a pale green shag rug, which was popular at that time. (I told you this would start with a shag rug.) Most interesting was what showed on its surface. Filling every square inch of the rug, in every possible direction was written the word Joy, in every type of lettering and handwriting you can imagine. The entire floor of the Living Room rug was covered with JOY! Upside down. Right side up. Sideways. At all conceivable angles. Printed. Written. In all sorts of different styles, or what I would today call fonts. All different sizes. Everywhere!

Truly amazing! My first thought was that it must have taken several someone’s many hours to do that. I was awestruck.

Lisa gave me a moment to soak it all in then spoke. It looks like that every morning when we first get up. I sweep or vacuum it away almost every day. Then in the morning it looks like this all over again. It isn’t exactly the same styles or in the same directions. It is the same thing, but new again, every morning. It has been like this since we moved in. It is lovely to see such a word as JOY everywhere, yet creepy at the same time. We cannot get rid of it. And it never misses a single day. I just don’t know what to think of it.

Well… I mumbled. I’ve never seen an apparition like this before. I’ve seen writing left by spirits, but nothing this profound. I’ve seen footprints on floors and rugs, but nothing like this. I’ve even seen strange patterns scrawled on surfaces, but not this extensive. It is really quite amazing.

I pondered. Do you have another small child in your home? Could it possibly be something like that?

Lisa nodded her head. Yes, we do have a little boy. But he is only two and I know he couldn’t do anything like this. He does not know how to write and certainly would not have the ability or energy to do something like this every night. I took my son to my mother’s last night so he wouldn’t be in the way. Another reason I know it isn’t him. The only people here are myself, my husband and the baby. I know my husband doesn’t do it, because it bothers him; and he is far too tired to pull this kind of a joke on me every single day for months. He really wants to figure out what this is and why this is happening. I certainly am not up to that much work for any reason. Any ideas?

She fidgeted. Then seemed to realize we were still all standing at the open doorway. Now that you’ve seen it, come on in and have a seat. We all walked into the room and took seats. I was swiveling my head about in amazement at the variety of ways one simple word could be written. As I sat, I let out a puff of air I didn’t know I was holding in. I shook my head to clear it.

How long have you lived here? I asked.

    For three months, Lisa responded.

I took a little longer to just look around and begin to get a feel for the energies in the apartment.

Mary said, I have known Lisa for quite a while and she never reported anything like this, or anything else out of the ordinary, until she moved here. She called me the day after she moved in to tell me about it the first time. We have talked about it many times since. At first, she seemed surprised and a little amused. Then it began to frustrate her. Now she seems a little afraid and wants to understand what it is, then hopefully get rid of it.

I took it all in. Beginning to get a sense of what was happening.

Mary continued, And there is more to this. Every once in a while, not on a regular schedule like the rug, the doors and drawers in the kitchen bang open and shut. Nothing is ever damaged, but it is noisy and startling.

Lisa chimed in, Just imagine that you are watching a movie in the evening after dinner, all settled down and relaxed. Then loud banging starts coming from the Kitchen. Sometimes it stops by the time I get into that room. Other times, I actually see the doors bang open and closed, and the drawers pull out then slam shut. Over and over again. Then it stops all at once and may not happen again for a day or two at some other time of the day. I never know when to expect it. Trying to get my baby and little boy to sleep with all that ruckus is challenging. I don’t like it at all. But nothing is ever disturbed. Just a lot of movement and noise.

I asked my landlord about it, continued Lisa. He admitted that the we are only the second couple to be in this apartment. The building is only a year old. The other couple broke their lease early because they said it was just too noisy and that some strange things were happening that scared them. They offered no more explanation than that, then packed up and abruptly left. The landlord didn’t know what they were referring to and said that none of the other apartments had any problems. He said it was probably noisy water pipes or something. We shrugged it off and moved in. It’s a nice little apartment and we like it. But we found out there is something else going on. This problem either needs to go away or we will also have to move, losing our deposit and having to pay a penalty just like the previous tenants. We don’t want to move. We want to solve this problem and stay where we are.

Lisa stood up and said, Let’s go into the kitchen. It has been quiet yesterday and today. You probably won’t hear or see anything happening. But I hope you can get some sort of ‘feel’ for what is happening. We all headed toward the kitchen to look around.

At first, it was very quiet. Then Bang! Bang! One of the cabinet doors flew open then slammed shut. Just one door, then nothing else. Then the flatware rattled in one of the
