About this ebook

What a tumultuous mess we are in. Yes, you, me, our world.
Most of us on this planet (our home) are confused, muddled, puzzled,
mystified, unruly, anarchic, disorderly, and for some, lawless. Where in
the name of all that is holy is the heart and soul of who we are as a
species? We have been gifted with life on a blue planet that spins and
gives us existence and still we are not satisfied or content. We quest for
more. More money, more power, more control, more influence, more
junk in our trunks, more stuff. We are a mess and have helped make an
abyss of darkness on this heaven on earth—our Earth. There is only one
Earth and because we have helped destroy it, tree by tree, city by city,
person by person we are now looking at how we can find a home on
Mars. What the hell?
Why not find the tools to clean up this home?
How do we do that? There are many systems, tools, traditions,
structures and methods.
You are reading this book because I have found one that works.
Journey with me now , Into The Heart of Bali “.

    Book reviews

Into The Heart of Bali is a nourishing balm for your soul. This little gem of a book will transport you to the sacredness and magic found in Bali. May its essence seduce you to explore the bountiful magic found in you and in majestic Bali.

    ~ Diane Merpaw

Into the Heart of Bali, is a joyful celebration of Lilly White’s decades-old love affair with the lovely ancient mystical island of Bali. Part compelling spiritual autobiography, part irresistible travelogue, Into the Heart of Bali takes the reader into her fascinating history with the Indonesian province, including her long-time friendship with the gentle healing mystic Agung Prana, whose good works have been recognized far and wide by both the media and global entities like UNESCO. Veteran Bali observers will recognize how precisely she captures the gentleness of its people, the magnificence of its tropical flora, and the allure and healing of its natural setting (not to mention the island’s exquisite organic cuisine). White adds a checklist of what you need for your first visit but by the book’s end, her irrepressible storytelling will have you feeling like you already know Bali by heart.

~ Ellen Gunter, author, Earth Calling: A Climate Change Handbook for the 21st

I read this book in one sitting - I couldn’t put it down. I feel like I have spent the afternoon bathed in Bali’s beauty, wisdom and the profound wisdom of her people.

In reading this book you are asked to come into your inner knowing. Lilly is a humble, practical woman with her feet on the ground and her connection with Spirit equally grounded.  She is so real and true to herself as takes us on a joyful ride and invites us inside her experiences, one journey after the other, where we learn about spiritual growth through her masterful storytelling. - you will laugh and cry with her and be made more aware of your own authentic, true self and the infinite possibilities that await you.

Lilly’s teachings make the complex simple.  She encourages us throughout and challenges the reader to understand concepts such as:  Our work, our inner work is to know ourselves so well that we recognize our fears and walk through them. Once we have done this, we will not allow anyone to have authority over us.

Lilly tells us that we are "here to love’. The love she has for humankind is manifest on every page.  Read it with joy.

~Susan Prosser, Psychotherapist and author of Growing Home - A Lifetime Process of Self Awareness and Transformation

From the first Chapter to the last the reader will be transported into a culture rich in tradition and ritual with Lilly guiding you to experience each one for yourself. It is easy with such rich sense filled descriptions to fall in love with the essence and healing ways of Bali and the people mentioned. A beautiful way to know yourself, life as well as death through the many teachings shared throughout this book.

Brilliantly crafted and so enjoyable. Truly felt I was there.

Thank you my brilliant, generous fairy friend – here’s to your continued success.

~Anne DeButte, author Grief’s Abyss ,Finding Your Pathway to Peace.

Ottawa ,Canada is many thousands of miles from Bali, yet for Lilly White, there is no distance, as she exquisitely reveals in her book, Into The Heart of Bali. Often in our lives we are drawn to places and people for reasons we do not know or cannot articulate, yet Lilly invites us to journey with her into her personal and spiritual love affair with an extraordinary nation and its culture. She intimately and vulnerably shares the transformation of her life and work as a result of surrendering to Mother Earth amid the land and people of Bali. This book is not a tourism travelogue, but rather, a dive into the divine as it manifests in the magic of Bali.

~Carolyn Baker, author of Collapsing Consciously: Transformative Truths For Turbulent Times and co-author with Andrew Harvey of Return To Joy and Saving Animals From Ourselves: A Manifesto For Healing The Divine Animal Within

Take Lilly White’s wild hand and let her lead you passion by passion, grief by grief, love by love, revelation after revelation Into the "Sacred Heart of Bali».

    ~Andrew Harvey

Into the heart of Bali is a transforming look into who we are both emotionally, physically and mentally. It allows you to take a look at what  really matters in your life and why it should, rather than living in a delusional state of reality. Lily White is brilliant in the way she brings you into the magical place of Bali. Her artful description of this spiritual heaven on earth captivates you with her unique story telling way. Her words engage you in understanding her true belief in the healing power of self evaluation and a culture that embraces the healing power of prayer, meditation, love and inner peace. A must read for anyone who is willing to take a guided tour into your inner self. Brilliant!

~Tom Foster , Consultant, National Speaker.

Agung Prana began his spiritual, business and tourism activities here.

It is now a UNESCO Heritage Site because of his work and passion.

In Memory of I Gusti Agung Prana, a King, humanitarian, pioneer, mystic, entrepreneur, visionary, father, mentor and companion.

    We will carry your legacy.

To Prana’s family, Arine, Agung Wah, Agung Mantra Bagus, Agung Raka, Decy and all their family members. Thank you for embracing myself and my family and welcoming us into your arms and your culture.

To all the staff at Prana’s resorts, you are in service with love, and we love you all eternally.

    Into the Heart of Bali

What a tumultuous mess we are in. Yes, you, me, our world.

Most of us on this planet (our home) are confused, muddled, puzzled, mystified, unruly, anarchic, disorderly, and for some, lawless. Where in the name of all that is holy is the heart and soul of who we are as a species? More money, more power, more control, more influence, more junk in our trunks, more stuff. We are a mess and have helped make an abyss of darkness on this heaven on earth—our Earth. There is only one Earth and because we have helped destroy it, tree by tree, city by city, person by person we are now looking at how we can find a home on Mars. What the hell?

Why not find the tools to clean up this home? First ourselves, then our environment and the kingdom of all the animals. Let us serve and assist one another. Gather and learn a new perspective of empowering one another and discover lifelong skills to grow, flourish and expand. We are in a dark night and it’s time to shine some light. This is a time to feel the awe of the raw, not with fear but with hope. What is the awe of the raw? It’s the pain and discomfort that we are in which leaves us in so much anguish that we finally wake up and say, I’m alive.

Now, let us stop resisting and start assisting.

Be aware but never afraid. A dark night can take us down and we need assistance so let’s get with it and get real, for ourselves, one another and for future generations.

How do we do that? There are many systems, tools, traditions, structures and methods.

You are reading this book because I have found one that works. It has taken me a lifetime and a journey halfway around the globe to find. But find it I did and it is holy, whole, delightful and heavenly. Come, let’s go together into the heart of Bali.

I wrote this book for two reasons.

First, I wanted to tell you how I discovered Bali and the absorbing lessons I encountered when traveling with others on their own spiritual quest. You will come to believe in angels, synchronicities and hope.

Second, I wanted to share with you how the Balinese culture teaches us to live in light and shadow so we are in harmony with the in-between worlds.

You will learn how Agung Prana helped his community of Pemuteran in north Bali and why he has won 32 awards worldwide—awards such as CNN Hero’s, National Geographic and others. You will also meet Mangku Made Subur, a mystic and shaman who is healing cancer. You will also meet other mystics we have encountered along the road of empowerment. Bali is indeed an island of mystery and mysticism.

Are you ready? Let us go together.
