Author

Sat Dharma

A bright smile with a big beard was the signature of Sat Dharma. He was born in Taiwan, and spent his life pursuing many fields of knowledge, spending many years in the Himalayas as well as India. He became dedicated to the study of the sub-conscious. Influences from his Buddhist family led him to become preoccupied with many approaches to spiritual enhancement for over two decades. He was deeply immersed in Mahayana Buddhism, Hinayana Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Yoga, Christianity, New Age, and Mysteries. In 2000, Sat Dharma submitted an intact theory on how to transcend human consciousness. He based his theory on oriental wisdom and incorporated the elite of global spiritual growth courses. He absorbed the best of these and developed a simple path that can lead us to retrieve the power within us. In 2005, he founded the Satdharma Spirituality Institute and began to systematically train teachers as well as participants. In 2010, Sat Dharma set up Infinitas International Co. Ltd, which has helped tens of thousands of people turn over their lives. In 2013, those people facilitated a neutral and beneficial platform, the Clean Life Foundation, for spreading the revolutionary ideas related to the raising of consciousness. Last but not least, Sat Dharma compiled all the essences of oriental and western spirituality enhancement approaches and completed this very book, “Awakening Power” in the hope that this book can serve as a compass, guiding us to transcend all our boundaries, retrieve the peace within us, and get to know who we really are. May each page bring to you joy, peace, and inspiration!!

    The Road of Hope

On the Lunar New Year’s Eve in 2015, at the time of water-shortage due to a long-term drought, it started to rain heavily like a torrential summer rain. Our world is becoming strange in terms of its climate, people, the land, the entire ecosystem of Earth, even the bacteria that we can’t see.

I have been involved in the promotion of the world sustainable development for nearly three decades, for which I have travelled through 5 continents and about 50 countries around the world. My experiences made me realize that people from different countries hope that changes will be made to the status quo. I also realized that all the great effort we have expanded was in the pursuit of hope.

It was fate that brought me to meet Sat Dharma. Both of us shared the same experience of exploring hope on a difficult journey. Like a wise man sitting on a rope, he showed the power of stability and showed people that hope is attainable in disappointment. His loud but warm laughter, like a powerful hug, injected positive energy into people, and liberated people from their mental shackles.

We are all humans, we taste all the sweets and bitters of life. Nevertheless, we can also be gods. We can be the force that restores the declining social morality and reduces the ecological catastrophe of the environment, if we stick to our intention of looking for hope. This is hard, because we give up too easily, because we have nothing to continuously rely on, and because we do not have a complete awakening toward the world that we live in.

To tell the truth, I am not likely to have enough wisdom to fully understand Sat Dharma’s teaching. Yet, I don’t want to pretend that all his philosophical ideas are comprehensible to me. Hope can be intuited, passion can be felt, and power can be rendered.

What makes me love Sat Dharma’s new book is its structure. By using the approach of deconstruction, he led readers to break through their cognitive barriers layer by layer and moved toward their inner awakening. The destination is not the sublimation of nothingness, but a power to enter the world, to change themselves, to reform chaotic society, and transform the self into the hope for the world’s sustainable development. Awakening enables us to gain wisdom, so that we will have the power to give more hope to our future generations.

Sat Dharma has opened a new journey for us, a journey shining with hope.

Taking Your Awakening to the Universal Level

This book addresses many things that I have experienced and have learnt from Parapsychology and Cosmology over the past 30 years.

In this book, the author maintained that the Satdharma Institute is planting a flag in the field of spiritual healing, and paving a road for professional classes—it is time to realize and awaken. Indeed, since 2012, many incidents have shown that it is the right time for humans on this earth to realize and awaken. Every year, many disasters and diseases occur, all hints from the universe to call for human’s awakening. However, based on my observations, humans only respond emotionally to these misfortunes without paying attention to the hidden messages the universe has conveyed to us.

For more than three hundred years, under the influence of René Descartes’s Mind-body Dualism, we have forgotten the concepts of the unity of mind and matter and the unity of man and nature, which have been promoted for thousands of years in the East. Thus, spiritual civilizations have fallen while material science and technology flourished, and this is happening in Taiwan today. Henceforth, I believe that the consciousness of the earth is going through the great transition period and a fast decline of human consciousness are about to happen. All the materialistic civilization of science and technology that humans have built in the twentieth century is bound to gradually collapse. The senior spiritual masters of the universe have revealed to me that after the financial crisis, there would be medical, educational and religious crises. Looking back on Taiwan’s current medical, educational and religious situations, are we not facing the plight of an overall collapse?

These issues are the challenges from the universe which aim to lead humans to be awakened in the spiritual dimension instead of being bound to the material life. We need to understand the meaning of life, not only on earth, but within the universe, and this is what we call awakening.

Awakening, however, is irrelevant to religion. The history of Taoism is only 1,800 years old, the history of Christianity is less than 2,100 years old, and the history of Buddhism is 2,500 years. Before these religions, human civilization has been developing for more than 5,000 years. At that time, there was no religion, but there were lots of rituals to explore human spirits among various ethnic groups. Thus, no matter what religion you believe in, follow your nature. Be your own master and you will find your power within yourself. When you are calm, you will see the true God, and that the Buddha is in your heart.

Over the past 30 years, I have found that a lot of religious and spiritual groups have their disciples engage in individual worshipping, donations, inexplicable chanting, reading activities or visits to sacred mountains, which are entirely external pursuits. The religious masters and spirit mentors did not tell their disciples and believers to be their own master and look for the power within.

No wonder that the great spiritual master of the twentieth century, Jiddu Krishnamurti, said, All Gods, spirits, Buddha, and fairies around you are your creatures. Now! Let all of them leave you!

Yes, humans can only find themselves when they have put aside all blind worships. One should play one’s role well when born into this world. No matter what identity and occupation one has, one must go through the process of spiritual cultivation. Thus, everyone should accept the process of transcendence and should try to ask for the master’s secrets all the time. The master’s power is the misleading illusion. Everything runs its course and will pass like a dream and bubbles. Haven’t I told you this truth before?

In recent years, I have seen a lot of spiritual masters preach love and light with the slogans of raising and awakening. I felt uncomfortable about their deeds. To my knowledge, some of spiritual masters lacked love and light, but their deeds did not show their true nature. They only took advantage of the term spiritual power for their teaching and business.

People with true love do not talk about it all the time. Laozi, the founder of philosophical Taoism, said that, The highest virtue is free from virtue; the lesser virtue clings to virtue. Those with high virtue are hard to detect, but their deeds naturally reveal love. On the contrary, those with lesser virtue would act as if they have high virtue. Today, many people focus on their external cultivation, not internal cultivation.

Love is the source field of power and a door that leads you to the source of cosmic reality. In a more proper description, love is a natural power that cannot be fabricated and shown off. Therefore, in The Source Field Investigations: The Hidden Science and Lost Civilizations Behind the 2012 Prophecies, the author, David Wilcock, quoted the words of Paramahansa Yogananda, the writer of Autobiography of a Yogi, Only those people who have intuitive wisdom can interpret the individual natal chart correctly, but few people have such wisdom!

Although few people can understand love, it is enough for us to be aware of ourselves as an ordinary person, God, Christ, and Buddha. This is inner understanding, not external pursuit. Thus, it is sufficient for us to know our own divine human nature and live it out.

The origin of the universe is The Way, namely love and light, penetrating through the earth and accessible everywhere. So long as we can stabilize our emotions, bring peace to our minds, calm our bodies, and concentrate on our worries, we will surely be able to attain The Way.

As mentioned in this book, Zen Master Dogen said, Studying the way of the Buddha is to study yourself. To study yourself, you must forget yourself and be one with everything. The remark suggests a correct and easy way for the participants of Quaternity Potential Energy Therapy at Satdharma Institute to study The Way. After they have studied The Way, they would realize that The Way and love are everywhere.

Best wishes to all the readers!

    An Inner Calling

I am a doctor and have practiced medicine for several years. With neither very good nor very poor skills, I follow that which the doctors who have come before me have passed down to me, and commit myself to all the responsibilities that I have been entitled to.

Year after year, no matter how much I have learned to save the patients, it seems that pains could never be ended. Deep down there in my heart, those feelings of helplessness pulsed. Every time when I see the frowned faces of patients and their anxious eyes, I could not help but hide that helplessness in an unknowing secret corner. I still must walk to the computer and write more medical prescriptions in the most professional way, in the hope of helping those patients dispel their anxiety.

But whenever I worked nightshifts, when the unexpected emergence occurred, when I put my hands on the chest of a patient, I could sense the feeling of helplessness that would come out sneakily, penetrating my exhausted heart. Year after year, I gradually understand that those impassioned life-saving scenes on TV drama were merely a transient spark that occurred sporadically. What lies ahead of us is still more difficult and unsolved medical problems; in this game of tug-of-war with God, I began to put down the rope and learn how to face pains and disease in life with an attitude of humility.

Then I realized that when facing a disease, the only thing every person wishes for is nothing but peace of mind. It seems that all the pains, anxiety, and fear we experience deprive us of what we have, while in fact it is by going through them that we are spurred on to put down trivial work to ponder what the real value of life is, and then only with blow after blow do we finally learn how to make peace in our heart.

Somehow, following the unplanned serendipity, I walked out of the white tower, and entered the world of spiritual healing.

After I have taken this step, it all became clear to me that, all those years of unsatisfying results of the treatments and all those grief and pain are signifying to the people that I have met, and to myself, to follow in this direction, towards a holistic healing that transcends diseases and treatments, a state of ultimate serenity and a pure state of being.

Such a path is sometimes called awakening, and this book is the very map of it.

Pain is just one among many vicissitudes of life. In a world of rapid changes, all the natural and man-made disasters, all the unrest and pain are urging us to go inside our inner temple to recognize our true self, to seek our original divine and godly nature, and to regain our true strength from selfless love.

If you have heard this inner calling, I am here to invite you to follow this book, to go inside the most sacred place where your inner self resides, where you will witness the most beautiful flowers of yours in full blossom, and so, may we let the whole world transform into a paradise that is filled with love.

    Meeting the Guru

If a person confines himself only to the field that he is familiar with, one day he will reach its edge and feel disoriented.

But for the rigorous training I had received at the medical center, I would not have noticed the geomagnetic reversal phenomenon many years ago, and I might have found the contents of this book very strange. Only Earth Science teachers would be interested in Geomagnetic reversal, and only the professionals who have a strong sense of the Earth’s environment would pay attention to it.

The 21st century is an era of interdisciplinary integration and massive cross-disciplinary learning. No one can stand still and remain unaffected. Only when we choose to face and embrace what is really happening around us can we have an opportunity to find a way to continue living and discover the strength to strive continuously in this turbulent world, just like a carp swimming upstream against the raging current of the river. Those who ignore the rapid changes would either feel that they are losing control of their own life or find themselves forced to reluctantly accept their fate. When someone refuses to face the reality of life, it is as if driving a car without seeing the road, and disasters are bound to happen.

According to the statistics of World Health Organization, AIDS, depression (suicide) and cancer will be the three primary diseases of the next century. Are Human beings so unlucky and doomed to survive in such a threatening situation of fear? If you peruse enough data from history in an organized manner, you will see that like the current in the ocean, there is a kind of pulse underlying human life and social phenomenon that emerges in a subtle yet perceivable pattern, which can be traced. Following this path, we will find that what we see is only the varying aspect of events on the surface; all the phenomena are pointing to the same origin, and the purpose of this book is to point out the road map to awakening.

Amongst medical personnel who have worked in medical centers, it is common for them to have encountered a few cases of miraculous healing. The illness of some patients was simply cured, against anticipation, which is completely inconsistent with current medical science and scientific logic. Some cases that we have heard, such as healing in Christianity, spiritual healing in Taoism, and terminal illnesses cured by traditional Chinese medicine, are quite difficult to be accepted by medical science that emphasizes truth and facts. We assume that, if those findings had been true, they should have won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. If these things are true, why does the government not acknowledge them, and would the medical centers not adopt such treatments? These questions prevent us from exploring the truth in greater depth. Life rises and et just as the sun, which has the power of healing within itself, as well as the innate ability to seek balance.

Before my encounter with guru Sat Dharma, I have been through a long journey of exploration, trying to find answers to those questions that have plagued me for a long time: Why have we come to Earth? Where do we go after death? So many things occurring in my life were beyond my understanding, and I could not convince myself to accept the conventional wisdom. In search of a satisfactory answer, I began my journey, reading a lot of books with topics ranging from biography during my childhood, psychology, motivational books, Buddhist scriptures, the Bible, philosophical books and spiritual books during my adolescence (such as Chicken Soup for the Soul, Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence and Qingxuan Lin’s Bodhi Series). I want to find a clear and ultimate answer that can dispel all the doubts in my mind. When I was in university, to resolve such confusions, in addition to Buddhism and Taoism which I have come into contact through my family, I also began to read other religious classics, and even got baptized, but there was still no such thing as a transparent answer that can satisfy me. Even after I began working at a medical center, I continued my life expedition in psychotherapy, hypnosis, meditation, I even read other interdisciplinary spiritual books and participated in many spiritual courses, only in the hope of finding the answer. However, all these things have proven unfruitful.

After this exploration, I have found some faith-based groups that encouraged people to do good, while some books guide us through self-examination to solve such problems. Some courses are hard to understand without personal experience, since they can only be learned through the process of participation. Beneath the surface, the deepest level is that it is in fact our heart, not psychology, that has undergone the exploration. The heart or so-called spirit is far beyond rational thinking. The spirit is activated even before our thoughts. The so-called emotional and physiological activities are reflections, to some extent, of the state of our inner world.

After I have met Sat Dharma, over the past fourteen years, I have become curious about him and have continued my observation of him. I have tried to figure out which religious sect he belongs to. Much of what he has done or said, indeed, has transcended current spiritual systems and religious sects. Yet, I wondered how he identified himself. I am confused because there was no way to identify this person based on the things that I have experienced and have understood in the past. What he said was consistent with what I have read from books, and he has gone beyond those that I have seen before. During the past fourteen years, I have focused on my career, while at the same time I have also followed the path to pursue the power of awakening. Sometimes, I take comfort in that even if I have indeed taken the wrong path, I have nothing to lose for I have learned so much along the way for my own sake. This incredulous attitude has become a part of who I am maybe because I have learned too many truths since childhood. At first, when I listened to what he has said, I felt I could do better than he could; I thought I could speak more clearly than he could, and then I would have the impulse to grab the microphone to share my opinion. But, gradually, I found that he has deeper experience in many things than I did. The way that he practiced many things is beyond what I can ever think of, and even when I want to give up on this path, he is still walking the path towards his goal.

This book, Awakening Power, recorded stories of a wise man who has inspired people from all walks of life to change their life and to find power to elevate themselves. Over the past fourteen years, many people, including ordinary people and multinational CEOs, have transformed and found their inner spiritual power under the guidance of Master Sat Dharma. With the integration of his empirical experience, modern science, transpersonal psychology, thanatology, as well as ideas of Buddhism and Christianity, Master Sat Dharma has used wisdom and love to help his students for more than ten years. All these people’s life stories have been staged in front of me, and the path that they have followed is just like that which was portrayed in Ken Wilber’s book A Brief History of Everything. A ‘theory of everything’ is just that: if we assume that all the world’s cultures have important but partial truths, then how would all of those truths fit together into a richly woven tapestry, a unity-in-diversity, a multicolored yet single rainbow? […] comprehensive map of human potentials will be directly translated into a more effective business, politics, medicine, education, and spirituality.

If you desire to explore the truth, I recommend that you read this book; if you are interested in finding a way to overcome some of your own desires, I recommend that you read this book; if you want to clarify many of the points regarding mysticism, psychiatry and healing-related issues and look for solutions to the difficulties while practicing, I highly recommend that you read this book.

Fourteen years ago, I was only a psychiatrist primarily concerned with humanistic psychology, applying what I have learned in medical school to help my patients, and now I have transcended the interdisciplinary barrier and become a holistic medical practitioner by combining orthomolecular Medicine, structural Medicine (body psychology), and psychosomatic phraseology. From a medical scholar in the ivory tower, to a life explorer soaring into the unknown realm of the vast ocean of life, I feel so grateful to have the privilege to meet my guru, Sat Dharma. It is my honor to recommend this spiritual mentor to all of you!

    Justifying the Law of Success

For many people, The Secret might be too mysterious, but I wonder why it has become so convincing now. The Secret discloses less than 1% of the information of the universal law. Though I hadn’t read The Secret before I have become wealthy, the way I become rich was the same as what the book has mentioned. If I have read the book earlier, I would have saved much unnecessary effort. Master Sat Dharma’s book takes on greater significance by discussing the origin of life. Now that I have read this book at 45, it would no longer take much pain and effort for me to look for the laws of success as I did before.

Why do I say so? When I was at the peak of my career, I was stressed out and had suffered from sleep disorder for up to months. The 8-hr time lag between Taiwan and Europe caused me to continue business talks even at 10:00 PM, resulting in my insomnia. My constant anxiety and worry about the company’s possible bankruptcy affected my health, so I had the symptoms of hypertension, hyperglycemia and high cholesterol. I even passed out in my office once. My health check reported that my GDP liver function was over 125 (24 is the healthy number). I was emotionally unsteady and became angry easily. Furthermore, I had difficulty communicating with my family and employees. My family relationship worsened. I was unable to find good solutions to all these problems in The Secret. I had no religious beliefs, but excessive stress drove me to question God and why he allowed me to be treated like this. I had no idea what’s wrong with me and why I was so unhappy. I was poor, but now I’m rich. Did I do something wrong?

With no solution to my problems, my wife took me to YANA Wholistic Medical Center by accident, and I started on a mysterious experience that I had never encountered. My experience was the things described in this book. In the beginning, I disagreed with Satdharma courses in YANA Wholistic Medical Center since I hadn’t heard of it before, neither from my knowledge nor from my education. Just as when you are feeling when reading this book, I was puzzled and started to question, Is this real? Just because you have never heard of it does not mean that it does not exist. When I read The Secret for the first time, I was shocked because I didn’t understand. Later I found that success has its laws.

I am a pragmatic person and have tried to prove if Master Sat Dharma’s words are true. I read lots of canonical books, including Buddhist sutra which I read in the Buddhism Lotus club during my years in university, Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace, and More, Conversations with God, Spiritual Awakening, A Course in Miracles, Osho of India, Bhagavad Gita, and Time to Awaken: Oneness Blessing. I also read a Taiwanese professor’s book, The Speech of Gods: Records of Spiritual Practice by teacher in a University, Dr. David Hawkins’s Power vs. Force, and Search Inside Yourself written by one of Google Company’s employees. I have also read more books addressing physical healing. All walks of life seemed to have been immersed in the spiritual power, and I would continue to explore it. Many books have justified spiritual power, but I am a business man and took account of investment return. After I took Satdharma courses in YANA Wholistic Medical Center for one year, my physical examination reported that my hypertension, hyperglycemia and high cholesterol were gone. I also lost10 kilograms of weight, going from 75 to 65. In the course, I was asked to face my shadows. Soon I realized that the impact of my father during my early years has made me what I am, making me unable to confront relationships and afraid of handling it. Through repetitive meditation, praying, and attaining peak spirituality experiences, the horizon of my view was expanded, and the rate of return on my investment has been phenomenal. Moreover, my relationship with my wife has improved, making us feel like we were on our honeymoon all over again. I was also able to empathize with my child, and I related to my daughter things that happen as part of human life. Most importantly, during the European financial crisis, my company business was far better than other competitors.

It was not magical; it’s simple instead. As mentioned in the book, After you extend your views outside the universe and beyond the outer universe, the tranquility helps you automatically find your answers. Now I know that our inspiration comes from the Celestial Body or that which is beyond. I still run into troubles no less frequently than before. My business has been expanding too fast, causing greater stress and more problems, but it is no longer a big deal. After I have met the Higher Self, I have gained solutions to all my problems. Many wishes come true after I have prayed and have taken actions. One does not encounter difficulties but the emotional problems caused by such difficulties. People are usually stuck in an emotional state, and the difficulties they assume they
