About this ebook

Jot Roop Har Aap Guru Nanak Kahayio

- Sri Guru Granth Sahib, 1408

‘The Lord Almighty caused Himself to be called as Guru Nanak’

Sri Guru Nanak Sahib was the incarnation of the Lord Almighty, a prophet, a Jagat Guru from His very birth. He did not, therefore, need the guidance, aid or help of a worldly Guru. He was a born Param Guru, Jagat Guru, Guru Eternal, Supreme Guru. He was a Maker and Producer of Gurus-Divine. He was the Aad and Jugad Guru. As there is no count before one and before God, so is Guru Nanak, the Supreme Jagat Guru. From this Guru Supreme has again emerged The Guru Eternal in the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib radiating the Eternal Glory of Guru Nanak. Guru Nanak ensouls ten divine forms and Eternal Sri Guru Granth Sahib as one single Divine Entity. Parbrahm Guru Nanak shines in each manifestation in full Glory and each divine form of ten Gurus reveals various divine aspects of the Eternal Glory of Guru Nanak. This spiritual wonder enraptures the soul of mankind with their ensouling divine essence and unity. What a unique marvel of divinity! I was studying in D & M college, Moga when my respected father led me direct into the holy presence of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj and afforded me number of such blessed chances thereafter. It was in the holy and direct presence of Mahan Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj that I experienced the grandeur and bliss of the Eternal Glory of Guru Nanak.

Sri Guru Nanak Sahib is All-Pervading,

    Imperishable, Self-Luminous Lord

and He Himself is the Master of

    the Past, Present and Future.

    Preface

I nfinite cannot be grasped by finite. Indescribable is beyond the limits of description. Fully aware of these limitations I proceed to pay my humble homage at the Lotus Feet of my supreme Lord Jot Roop Har, Guru Nanak. For a mortal like me, a frail human being, it is well nigh impossible to comprehend, to grasp even a fraction of Lord’s Glory, what to say of narrating or penning down the same. Fully conscious of my limitations and imperfections I, at the very outset, seek and pray for your forgive ness.

After Aug 1943 when Mahan Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj had physically disappeared in the Holy folds and bosom of Sri Guru Granth Sahib I had the blessed chance of hearing my esteemed father on this holy subject. The ideas in this book are chiefly based on frequent and detailed spiritual discussions I had with my esteemed father. This, in short, is the essence of what I had gathered with my limited and mean intellect from wide range of practical spiritual experience and mature wisdom of my father.

I dedicate this humble attempt to the Sacred Glory of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj and to the holy remembrance of my own worshipable father, Baba Narinder Singh Ji.

‘The Lord Almighty caused Himself to be called as Guru Nanak’

As there is no count before one and before God, so is Guru Nanak, the Supreme Jagat Guru.

Only the name of ‘Nanak’ vibrates, echoes and re-echoes in the whole of Gurbani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib because Guru Nanak ensouls other divine forms in line of succession and so does He ensoul Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Living Guru Nanak.

Guru Nanak lives eternally embodied in the Immortal Sri Guru Granth Sahib. And in the Holy Form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, He continues to redeem millions. Guru Nanak shines in the Eternal Glory of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Sri Guru Granth Sahib shines in The Eternal Glory of Guru Nanak.

For a man with ‘I’ ego, Sri

Guru Granth Sahib is only a book.

    For a truth seeker,

it is the Satguru in another of his form.

For an Enlightened Soul, Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the Living Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Himself.

    Baba Narinder Singh Ji

The form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib changes with the stage of the disciple. It varies with the level of love.
