Chester Lester to Nashville in 1974 from West Virginia where he had Several bands. They worked the night club circuit in the Tri State area. When they were playing Bowling Green KY his wife sent some of Mine to Tommy Jennings bother of Waylon. He drove to Nashville to meet him and became a writer for Waylon's co. Later on he signed with Con Brio Records where he had two records Released “Mama Make Up My Room” and “If Only We Could”.Later on he signed with House of Gold. Where he had cuts by Razzy Bailey,Conway Twitty,Dean Martin,Tammy Wynette,Waylon Jennings,Bobby Vinton,Johnny Cash and others. He retired from the music business and started writing poems To post on Facebook. He then decided to try to get them published. Which lead to this book. He dedicate this book to his late wife Sue Leadman Lester.
