CHAPTER ONE

Fish #691 was in Idle Mode at the far end of the massive fish tank. Idle Mode, also known as At Rest, meant his fins, both pectoral and dorsal, were barely in motion. His gills and mouth opened and shut at a slow speed, passing water over his gill rakes, absorbing just enough oxygen. He was exhausted! He
