About this ebook
Nine-year-old Chappy is a curious, adventurous child who lives with his family in the hamlet of Annieville, Mississippi. Just three-square city blocks, this village is cursed with a kind of sadness and misery everyone knows about, but it’s a topic no one dares to speak of. Annieville lacks any aspect of joy or happiness; the concept of fun has long since packed its bags and departed.
One day, Chappy decides to run away from home. He has no idea, nor does he care, what effect his decision to leave will have on his family or community. He just wants to experience what’s on the other side of the bridge. Little does he know, his plan ultimately improves his life and the lives of the other local children.
A modern fairytale, All about Chappy shares a story about empowerment, confidence, optimism, and offers a better understanding of the world.

6583.pngIntroduction
At the time of this writing, the author, Muttonhead, was suffering from Major Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. As a child, the author suffered from undiagnosed depression and anxiety. The author’s original idea regarding the creation of this book was mainly that of therapy, her own. The goal was to make herself feel happy
.
The author of this book has an interest in children suffering from any form of unhappiness. MuttonHead wrote this fairy tale circa 2007 at a time in her life when circumstances had again turned bleak. Simply put, she was alone and facing far too many challenges and ultimate disappointments to reasonably handle life without assistance from a professional, somewhere. Bewildered, and hardly the first time she experienced such a predicament, she became withdrawn. While battling thoughts of suicide, despondency and in general, discouraged with life, she found creative writing to be her choice of distraction. MuttonHead was compelled to write and enjoyed the experience immensely.
Today’s society is facing many challenges concerning issues relating to Early American History, cultural sensitivity, and an underlying sense of insecurity as it pertains to our great Nation’s future. Perhaps open minds, genuine charity, understanding, and a little magic
in the form of gratefulness
will aid with these pressing matters because after all is said and done, It ain’t about us (*Baby Boomers, that is), it’s
All About Chappy and future generations. So, if the reader, be they adult or juvenile, wishes to enjoy a few free hours of joyful imagery,
All About Chappy" will totally meet this need.
Author's Note
ALL ABOUT CHAPPY
is a modern fairy tale. The main character of the book, Chappy, is like every other child, special. As the protagonist of this tale, he is curious, courageous, a risk-taker, and venturesome. He has no idea, nor does he care about to what extent his decision to leave home will have on his family or community. Not unlike most juveniles his age, his motivation is selfishness. Truth is, by acknowledging that he is, in fact, the master of his own young life and thusly exercising his ability to formulate a plan, he ultimately improves his life and the lives of other local children. More than a few adults will also benefit from his decision to leave his home. Consequently, future generations of Annieville residents, inspired by Chappy’s
