I was Born and raised in Elmira, N.Y. (Mark Twain Country) on March 30th. 1972. A few weeks later, Hurricane Agnes remnants caused massive flooding throughout the North East of the United States. Chemung County (home to Elmira) was devastated. I really wonder what Mark Twain would have said in his words about the historic event! I left the area two years after graduation from Elmira Southside High School (Green Hornets) in 1992 to become an Assistant Manager with Rex T.V. (sold electronic appliances).I returned back to Elmira in 1995 and manufactured television picture tubes with Toshiba Westinghouse in Horseheads, N.Y. I then increased my tech skills by working with my Father’s company Hardings Brother’s manufacturing machines that cut the worlds strongest metals. In the spring of 1997, I moved to Binghamton, N.Y. and played hockey as a Goalie. I played for two months in Toronto Canada before receiving a ‘Try-out’ with the Mohawk Valley Prowlers of the UHL. I then was sent back to Binghamton, N.Y. for a possible 10-day contract to play with the B.C. Icemen of the UHL. After coming up short (3rd. on the roster, I turned to Semi-pro football with the B.C. Jets as a wide receiver for tow years. Then, I played as a wide receiver with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Soaring Eagles. In the fall of 2001, I coached little league football for the next three seasons.In 2004 I was running my company Chess Empire LLC distributing the Chess Empire board game that I created, when we welcomed (my Wife, son Brandon (2 years old at the time) and I), my first Daughter Marikka into the world on September 18th. My Wife had to be boated off of our property in order to give birth that day because we suffered our first of three floods on that day!! After three floods within an 18 month time period (2004-2006), the final flood took our home and all of our belongings.Today, we still live in the same city but high on a hill (dry). We welcomed another girl (Jahzara) to the world on November 18th. 2007. I’ve come to understand a few things about life. Sometimes, unforeseen occurrences may seem like failure in disguise, but it has always been about the survival. It takes having an incredible wife and a strong grip on family values. Many people claim that ‘we fall so that we can learn how to get back up!! I do not agree. I look at it this way: Why do we fall? It happens because somewhere along the way we ‘tripped or something like unforeseen occurrences tripped us up’ and that is what made us fall!!In order to get up, we need to understand what was in our way and how to avoid it from happening again or at least prepare ourselves for the unseen. It is then and only then that we can make the attempts to get back on our feet.It is our will and determination that drives us all towards finding successes that benefit life. So never give up no matter what we are up against. Remember that I just said ‘we’ because it is almost impossible to do it yourself!! It’s not about your age. A new challenge is here. The time is now. Are you ready for the dawn of a new day? Take any problem or situation you may be facing in your life and get ready to fix it with a greater peace of mind. It starts with inner peace. This series of books are for those of us who do believe in God but can't understand why it sometimes feels that he is nowhere to be found! This series is for those who do not believe in God but have seen the unseen dark side of life; they know there is a spirit realm and knows that there are demons among us all! This series is for those that feel that life is not fair and that there should be more to it.

Once you are at peace with yourself, you will be able to tackle any and all your problems with better judgments. In fact, you will look at problems, issues, and even so-called ‘enemies’ differently to the point of realizing that we are all on a quest to do the best we can for each other, ourselves, and our families for the peace of all mankind. If you are still reading this, then you are truly ready for Selective Quest Story # 1 belongings including our Chess Empire office and were fortunate to escape alive.

During this inescapable devastation of personal and economic loss, I was inspired to write Selective Quest. With the help of Town Supervisor Debbie Preston, eighteen families have been able to take part in a buyout of damaged homes. I wanted to help because my neighborhood was among the hardest hit. I decided that 20% of all profits from sales of the books (stories # 1- 3) will go directly back to the Town of Conklin, N.Y. To take it a step further, I will be creating a charity bearing the Harrison, Washington, and Yankowski family names

On June 28th, 2006, my hometown of Conklin/Binghamton, New York, and surrounding towns in Broome and Tioga counties (Vestal, Endicott, Johnson City, Owego, Harpursville, Windsor, Chenango Forks, Chenango Bridge, Whitney Point, and Kirkwood) were hit by the worst flooding in recent memory.

Many families and businesses were displaced and some have since relocated elsewhere. I have a history with floods, starting with the ones caused by Hurricane Agnes in 1972, the year I was born in Elmira, NY.

My daughter was born on September 18th, 2004, the day of our first flood. My wife had to be taken by boat off our property for about four blocks, then put in an ambulance and rushed to Lourdes Hospital to give birth. Seven months later, on April 2nd. 2005, we were hit with our second flood.

Then in June of 2006, the worst floods in the history of our area wiped out homes, lives, and personal property and damaged local infrastructure at a cost of millions of dollars. My wife, two children, and I lost all of our

Welcome To Selective Quest

At first, I wanted Selective Quest to be just a good hometown story with a magical dimension, but I soon realized that there was going to be more to it. As you read, you will come to understand what all mankind needs to know to achieve inner peace; and by the time you finish reading all three stories, you should understand at least my personal answer to the question What is the meaning of life? Why are we here?

Selective Quest is a work of Magical Realism. It will fill you up with magic and adventure. It takes the good and bad things that you have encountered and makes you take a closer look at them to discover what they mean. If you have ever felt that you or your family were cursed, if you feel left out, broken-hearted, poor, abandoned, or abused, or if you have been the abuser; whether you identify with the powerful or the weak, the rich or the poor, the good or the bad, this book will show you how it all connects.

2) If you have found your inner peace and have no problems at all in your life, then read this story as Magical Realism that will take you on a joy ride.
