Dedication
This work is dedicated to my amiable boss, the indefatigable Dr (Mrs.) Adaora Umeoji Nwokoye – Deputy vManaging Director Zenith Bank Plc., for her steadfast, unrelenting but quiet efforts at nation building which must not go unnoticed. You have become a bastion of hope for your generation.
To my father, Chief James Chilagor Chima – who is a man of integrity and who did his best to raise me up that way.
Foreword
"A Great Nation is Possible: My Nigerian Dream" represents a bold and daring attempt at correctly diagnosing a sick nation, convulsing and choking under the weight of its self-inflicted indulgence while recommending appropriate remedy in a manner that truly inspires hope.
The undeniably contagious hope seen through the lens of this great Nigerian Osondu Chilagor in the midst of our immanently uninspiring, negative existential circumstances readily interrogates the very essence of our belief in nationhood and the promises it should bring.
As a leadership expert of over twenty years, I cannot hide my fascination for his treatment of themes like Patriotism, Anti-Corruption, Moral Regeneration, Integrity, Accountability in leadership and so on.
Over the years, these areas have remained the bane of our challenges as a viable nation. Osondu literally navigated these issues with an uncanniness that is uniquely patriotic and practically dragged us into the center of his thoughts, dreams and world with persuasive optimism and creative passion.
I recommend this book to all Nigerians and indeed all those who pursue the noble cause of nation-building most times in their little unnoticed efforts. No doubt the contents of this book are ageless, defying time and space but poignantly expressing promise and unshaken confidence that a great Nigerian Nation is truly possible. This may be the most important book you will read this year!

Acknowledgments
I acknowledge the efforts of my beautiful wife Susan – my encourager-in-chief as well as critic; and also my lovely children – Amara, Deraa and Chima who see me as a great dad. Their support and love made this book possible. How can I forget our many reading and story-telling sessions?
I appreciate the hope, faith and prayers of a great number of Nigerians who still believe in a great Nigerian nation and have continued to prepare their hearts for her emergence.
My deep regards go to Dr Andy Osakwe and wife Pastor Ndidi for igniting conversations geared towards Nation building and for insisting everyone plays their part. I’m glad you agreed to go through this manuscript in spite of your busy schedule. Your support has been as constant as the Northern star.
I will not fail to acknowledge the support of Alhaji Abba Abdulkadir Kaka – a great and detribalized Nigerian whose steadfast encouragement has helped tremendously in making this work a reality.
Finally, I thank the Holy Spirit – my source, my strength and sustainer for birthing this inspiration and as always gracing my efforts to fruition.
