Acknowledgements
I would like to thank all of the readers who encouraged me to publish a collection of my written works, as well as the companies that featured and shared my works.
And to Edgar Allan Poe, a special thank you, for inspiring many of my writings. A truly gifted being.
Thank You to my sister, Arielle Tara, and my mother Donna for their support.
Endless love to Luca Nogi, my dog and his sister Mikan for being unconditional sweethearts, through many late nights working on this project. And to my late grandmother for her strength and inspiration.
And lastly, thank you, to every reader who may come across this book. I hope that you may find in it a work that resonates with your soul.

page%2013.jpgA Cage For the Beast
Some spirit swept, undying,
Over mountains of the East,
Twas a blessed midnight mourning,
When the ghoul began to feast,
Sweetest virgins fell, beguiling,
Cursed the gods and damned the priests,
All who died, they did so smiling,
Over mountains of the East.
Could no spartan step to save them,
Could no prince their cries beseech,
On deaf ears their pleadings echoed,
Not one man could cage the beast.
Hence the wind upon the shutters,
Such the dust upon the doors,
And the children’s toys still laying,
Over rotting, wooden floors,
Ore the village is the hallow,
Left behind from where it tread,
Lives the silence at their doorsteps,
For now, every soul is dead.
And never was the knighthood,
Sent to set the lend a hand at least,
For no mortal man could ever,
Save the land nor cage the beast.
End
A Dozen Roses
I will save a dozen roses,
For the love I do not have,
For some years I’ll hold a kerchief,
For the tears when I am sad.
And I’ll save a precious letter,
For the one that’s yet to come,
But they’ll never see me coming,
Man is blind when they are young.
So, I’ll walk along this shoreline,
As the village trails the hearse,
And I’ll save a dozen roses,
To present them to you first.

page%2015.jpgA Free Man Said
One day a free man looked at me,
And I looked back at he,
I held four bushels in my hand,
Of flax and cotton tree.
He had a skin, much like my own,
A dark much like my eyes,
He bowed a moment, tipped his hat,
And spoke a sad man’s lie.
He told me
