Preface
As John Keating, a character in the movie Dead Poets Society, says:
We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
These poems that I present before you are precisely for that—to give a jolt of current and make you feel alive. It took me a year to get the material ready for this book. The poems will be kind to you, I promise. So please be kind to them as well.

If (A Love Song)
If I was to die;
Just saying no.
Won’t even try.
Will you lay a flowery wreath?
Blow a kiss with a deep breath?
I’m saying if ever this race I win;
Lean on me, no. It’s not a sin.
Will you trust me, give a helping hand
to build a future in a faraway land?
So, if ever you leave me forever;
Just saying no.
Please, never.
Will you free me, just loosely?
I’ll find you and apologize profusely.
What Do You Mean to Me?
How do I tell you what you mean to me?
You’re the turbulent ocean; you’re the
