About Moonies
It is with great pleasure that we; that is, Princess Lubachenka and myself, Robitty Bob, welcome you, erstwhile reader, to the world of Moonies. We hope that you will find that your time here will not be forgettable. It is truly a weird and wacky world of wonder; check it out.
Say; have you ever been to the moon? Did you say yes or no? Speak up; whaddaya say? Golly gosh; anyone?.
Not many kids get to go to the moon. To get there it’s a wee bit of a trip in a space rocket and they are really tricky to drive. And not everyone has their own space rocket. If you’ve been to the moon then you are a really lucky wee kid.
If you have been to the moon, did you see any Moonies?
A Moonie is a moon-fairy that lives on our moon.
Sort of like a normal fairy except they are different. Moonies have really big ears and a beaker on the top of their noodle. They are usually yellow or sometimes green. They are a bit tubby in the tummy but don’t say that in front of them and don’t ever call them fat. Actually, they aren’t like normal fairies at all aren’t they. But there is one thing about them that is like other fairies; they are really shy and they like it in the imaginary world best. What is the imaginary world? That’s the world that is just like our real world but different. We all have an imaginary world. Everyone has their own one. A figment perhaps. Pretty lucky huh?.
Most wee kids haven’t met a Moonie before. But there are some lucky wee kids who may have met them. Maybe you are a lucky wee kid. Some kids have never met a normal fairy like a garden fairy or a forest fairy or even a beach fairy before. If you’ve been in the mountains I’m sure you would have met a mountain fairy. Perhaps? Yes? No? More figments; oh well. This story is about Moonies. They are moon fairies and they live on our moon.
There are lots of interesting things about Moonies that many wee kids don’t know. Heck; some wee kids don’t even know anything about Moonies, like what they look like or what they like to eat or what they wear or what they do for holidays.
The thing is, Moonies do so many interesting things and are really very interesting creatures. This is a story about some interesting things about Moonies and what they do so that some of you kits might learn an interesting thing or two.
You will have to excuse Robitty Bob readers; sometimes he does get a little overexcited but I will do my best to keep him on track.
Thank you Princess but I believe we have everything under control.
You see, the moon is the perfect place for Moonies to live, but it’s not the only place you’ll find them. Earth-based Moonies are just one family of many other Moonie families spread all over the Universe. So if you’ve been for an explore around other solar systems and galaxies in the Universe you might have passed a planet with Moonies on.
Not many people have been for an explore around the Universe.
Do you know what the Universe is? Corikey! Our big ol’ outer space place. So blinking massive and huge.
Orson!
If you went for a ride in a space-rocket and just kept on going in one direction, when would you reach the edge of the Universe? Well, whaddaya reckon? Never, that’s right, never. You wouldn’t have enough lifetime in one trip to reach the edge. In fact no one has ever been to the edge of the Universe. We don’t even know if there is an edge to the Universe.
Even if you had a never-ending supply of space-rocket fuel, and a really super fast space rocket, you’d just keep going and going, and going. You’d never come back. Your family on Earth would be sad without you. You might pass other planets like Earth on your journey, and you’d just keep going and going.
Orson-huh?
You might also pass other Moonie families on their moons. They might be dressed up in special space suits to keep warm. We don’t know. They’re so far away we don’t know what the other Moonies wear. It is very cold in space, far away from the sun, so they prolly have some special warm space suits or a big ol’ heater.
You could call out to them as you passed them by, excuse me. We’re from earth and we’re traveling to see the edge of the Universe. Are we going in the right direction?
They would call back to you, Don’t bother; there is no edge; the Universe just keeps on being stretched out and there is no edge no matter how far or which way you go.
It’s sort of too big for our brains to understand, even though our brains are awesome and clever. When it comes to the Universe we’re just like tiny drops of dust. If this is hard to understand then don’t worry. Most people don’t understand this. Its easier just to concentrate on our Earth cos that’s where we live and we have to concentrate hard enough just to remember to do our homework and brush our teeth and eat
