Hyacinth Anyanwu

Hyacinth E. Anyanwu, born April 9th 1936, grew up in a village in Imo state, Nigeria. From an early age he devoted much time to prayer and fasting. Since the age of 16, Mr. Anyanwu has had a strong desire to fight against human injustice. This desire has developed into an unrelenting drive to aid in the redemption of Africa from poverty, violence, war, corruption and immorality. Educated in Nigeria, Japan and Sweden, and being resident of Sweden for the last 38 years, both his educational, vocational and cultural experience and exposure has been great. The process of seeking and receiving answers, as part of Mr. Anyanwu`s search for truth and righteousness over a whole lifetime, has been recorded over the last 66 years and has now finally culminated in the monumental work entitled What is My Mission published in 2011 and this work called Peace at Your door step. The foundation of these two books is a life of prayer, dedication, commitment, service, hard work, severe trials and glorious experiences. The work contains precious insights about life and teaching of universal and eternal principles of progress and happiness. The aim is to realize and develop the limitless potential of the human race towards a happy, peaceful and prosperous life and society. Mr. Anyanwu is a man who is full of love and concern for the welfare of others. His work will continue to influence for good many generations to come. Mr. Anyanwu is happily married to his Annie. He is the father of five children.

WHY DO I WRITE THIS BOOK?

In the southern part of my country, Nigeria, before the arrival of the early missionaries, my great grandparents were serving idols. All the children born then simply followed the footsteps of our great grandparents. The social environment called for such. There was no other choice to make than following the fathers tradition. The missionaries came and brought in Christianity with one God and several churches and education. Today about 80% of the people are Christians. This is because; we have two things to choose from, thanks to the dam built by the early missionaries.

When I was a teenager, I started to question myself what is the purpose of this world. I wondered much about the existence of higher power that controls the universe. I wondered where I came from, how I met my mother and father. I wondered why I was born in Africa and not in Australia or somewhere else. I asked why Africans are black and not white like the Europeans. I wondered where I would be going after I leave this world. What is death? Why must man die? Why are there wars, conflicts and human subjugations? Why are there many churches if there is only one God? Why am I here? These questions and the like have brought about my first book What Is MY Mission. My mission is to help people who might have been misled by the great confusion in the world today about the existence of God and the relationship between human beings and God. The purpose of creation, the infinite love of God and his mercy, the great atonement of his son Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind that has been taken for granted by man, because of man’s lack of understanding and stubbornness.

When we human beings understand the true wisdom in our existence and appreciate the love in it, perhaps we shall value to obey and live in peace one another and avoid wars and conflicts.

AUTHOR’S PREFACE TO PUBLICATION

Although this book is written in English, it is written in my English, the English of my youth and later. The English is not that of England, or the Americas or of other English speaking countries, but the English of my personal experience. It is mostly Nigerian English and contains grammar, idioms, expressions, etc., that reflect the flavor of my English language and culture.

If some wordings, grammar or expression seems awkward or unusual, just relax, be forgiving and enjoy the manner in which I have tried to capture both meaning and flavor. It may be different from your past experience, but that is as it should be. As one reads the works of Shakespeare and occasionally has difficulty with his use of English from centuries past, the reader will quickly adjusts, enjoys and moves on. Hopefully, such will also be the case with this book.

Oh, Thou Almighty Everlasting God, Maker of heaven and earth, with humility and thanksgiving, I come before Thee this hour in Thy Holy oracle to passionately, plead that if it pleases Thy Holy Will, may Thou grant me the privilege to explore and write the wisdom in Thy creation. I write that man whom Thou have created read and gain knowledge of Thy abundant mercy and love Thou o Lord, have for them. Insomuch, that they will have the desire to serve Thee of their free will, and obey Thy laws, by which obedience they may know for sure the great treasure Thou have in store for them that obey Thee, that they may be joyous and happy and live in peace among themselves. URGENT NEED FOR PEACE

We human beings need peace, we want peace

We want peace through self- discipline

We want peace by obedience to the divine laws

We want peace based on laws. Laws beyond

Religious differences, beyond ethnic boundaries

Beyond color barriers and beyond human affluence.

The laws that make the universe to stand and firm.

Who will give us this peace? It is we ourselves

By our obedience to the laws through our self-discipline.

What are we doing in this world? Do we come here to destroy ourselves, our lives, the nature, the atmosphere in which we live, all the beauties of the universe given to us to enjoy? Are we aware of the following facts that from AD 184 to 1967, we have killed more than 387 million human beings in twenty fruitless wars called the great wars? This number is more than the population of all USA today. Other wars to date amount to the death of over 116 million people, making a total number of 504 million souls we have sent home prematurely. Are we not satisfied with this atrocity yet?

Is it not time for us to repent and find the peace in us to make this world an enjoyable place for every one of us? Let us not be mass murderers wearing the coat of national security, power and wisdom.

WHY READ THIS BOOK?

In over 41 centuries from 2100 BC to 2015 AD, the world had witnessed more than 1,000 wars.

Even today we are witnessing more wars like Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and terror attracts everywhere, with more threat of wars rising up daily from different countries. We hear news of horrors of wars, rumors and disasters and atrocities and destruction of human lives. We cry for the loss of human beings we see and lament for those in the sea we cannot see.

What is the cause of these wars and calamities? Have we no solution to them?
