About this ebook
The goal of this book is to move the reader, to inspire, to take them to another time or place where the imagination can have free reign and not be hindered by the reality of their own world.
To create or heighten someone’s desire to dream, strengthen their hope, or enhance their passion or appreciation for life and all of the beauty within it. To be one of many small sparks that hope to become part of a flaming light within a world that seems to be swiftly darkening.
I hope you enjoy my book!
Ty L. Thomas
Ty L. Thomas was born in 1974 in Scottsboro, Alabama, and still resides in Alabama with his wonderful wife and daughters. He is a long time member of his church, and enjoys sports, outdoor activities, music, and traveling. Having a mother that wrote inspirational poetry, songs, and numerous plays for her church, he found himself drawn to the world of music and poetry early on. Along with poetry, he has also written songs spanning several genres. A hopeless romantic, he has always had a fascination with all things chivalrous, and it is from this era that he derives most of his poems. His travels, relationships, and personal experiences have also provided inspiration and feeling. He has enjoyed writing this book and looks forward to starting on his second soon!

Preface
This is the first book I have had published, though one of my poems was included in the nationally published ‘Diving Beauty’. It has mainly a romantic theme written in Shakespeare-like tones, with a little suspense and wartime material thrown in.

About the Author
A Calling
There is a time that calleth unto me,
A time which long hath past,
When the noble practice of chivalry
Upon the earth was cast,
When valiant, courageous knights,
With their horses, strong and steady,
To defend an honor or freedom,
Were always at the ready,
Prominent, majestic castles
Overlooked the valley below,
And in dark of night, with torches lit,
Gave off their regal glow,
Mighty ships wouldst set a course
To sail
