Himakshi Shastri

A girl with a mission to change the world is what drives the determined and enthusiastic author of this book - Himakshi Shastri. From as early as age four, Himakshi participated in several ventures to make her mark felt. From having discussions with DEWA and the UN about her ideas on creating a sustainable society to making speeches about 'Climate Action' at the International Schools Debates Camp at Oxford, Himakshi is relentless in trying to encourage global citizens to care for each other and indeed the environment. Using her platform as Head Girl in junior school to spread her vision, she also role models by volunteering for Dubai Cares and Al Noor Centre for Special Needs. A student at Dubai College, Himakshi is also passionate about reading and writing. She has taken part in and won several writing competitions like The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Challenge and the Kids World Fun Short Story Contest which inspired her to combine her passion with her mission.
