About this ebook

The book 12 Steps of Relationship and Freedom explains the history of the fall of man after the coup d’états in heaven. At Eden, God won the redemption of humanity by the prototype garment (Genesis 3:21) for protection. The incident continues onward to provide a piece of advice about why we should be on alert and vigilant and what to do about an abusive relationship and depression.

This is a true story. Each chapter is filled with inspiration on the journey to freedom. Along the way, is an in-depth explanation of some biblical truth and ways to overcome it all—for instance, grudge and unforgiveness. Abraham had been applauded for having great faith. Where did his faith come from? Religion must have a substance. Abraham’s faith has an element from a city—find out the name. Can a negative past have a stronghold on you? The book explains how it should not. The promise is much easier to obtain than some may think or do.

    Preface

I grew up a Catholic and became an altar server at the age of about twelve years. All the while I never knew who Jesus was or is. I had heard the name Jesus, and I had watched movies about Jesus of Nazareth.

But still, I did not know who Jesus is! On a delivery job for a block industry company, the steering wheel of the pickup I was in got locked and wouldn’t move. Moscow, my friend riding with me, started shouting, Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! (continue in Chapter 7, page 98)

That was in the year 1994. A few days later, by the grace of God, I became a born-again believer. In 1998, I began to seek the Lord regarding what He wanted me to do. On the first day of fasting, at about two o’clock in the afternoon, God said, Take your Bible and evangelize the world. I thought, that is not surely coming from God, so I requested that He proclaim the message again.

The next day, the same instruction came to me. The third day, I appeared for an evangelical church outreach to the astonishment of all the church folks because, previously, I had been called out for ridicule by the pastor for what he alleged was my not being faithful to represent the church in public. Unknown to the pastor, it was a false accusation. But I am serving God and not humans. I continued as a member of the evangelical team.

God has now been my Father for twenty-four years. He has given me many experiences and relationships, including appearing to me, and has covered me with His cloud (I see it as a cloud, but to another it is fire). I know the light (burning) of God as cloud and feel it as wind.

    Introduction

I had been in an abusive relationship without an iota of an idea as to how to escape. As I meditate on it right now, I am astonished at the fact that there was no place of liberty to run for cover. I was called an unprintable name and too young to comprehend its meaning.

We cannot change situations that come into our lives, but we can change the outcomes. The scriptures say that the problem with mankind is ignorance (lack of knowledge) and not money. What we do not understand is more excellent than us.

There are different types of abusive relationships. Mine was in two parts, verbal and physical; this book will address both parts of my experience and the way to freedom. I desired to write a book while I was a missionary in Guinee-Bissau in Africa in 2005. An experienced pastor from England advised me otherwise when I outlined my informed teaching on paper, saying, If it is not about money, you will not get a publisher to accept your book. Imagine how time has changed the publishing sector; now there is room for the self-publishing author.

I rested the manuscript for a while. In 2017, I asked those on my Facebook friend list and on WhatsApp as well as other contacts, What is it to be born again? with a view on to God as the Father. To my amazement, out of all the answers that came back, including those of the workers of the church, no one could biblically explain the term! The manuscript I wrote in 2005 with the new information I collected is the reason for the book.

For genuine liberty, a child needs to have God as Father; the child of God must be born again, which occurs in three stages: born again through the confession of sin (repentance), born again of water (baptism), and born again of Spirit (baptism of the Spirit). See John 3:3–5 (KJV).

The book you are reading is a revelation according to the Word of God on how to have God as your Father, the separation from the yoke that has held humanity after the disobedience of Adam and Eve. It has taken me a twenty-four-year journey to know the Father and more about Him. No man or woman can entirely comprehend God. Our human brains are limited to the capacity of understanding.

To only a privileged few has God granted the revelation of Himself as the Father (see Matt. 23:9 (NKJV) When a child accepts God, He becomes the child’s Father; thanks be to God for our earthly parents. Hence, we are sons or daughters of God, and old things are no longer relevant, passed away: abuse, depression, sin—all things have become brand new. You are a new creation (see 2 Cor. 5:17 KJV). Audrey Hepburn wrote, Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible’! Hallelujah. I have outlined twelve steps to a relationship and freedom to obtain knowledge of the Father, starting with the beginning of creation, on the rationale of separation from the Father and what that separation indicates.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal the Word of God to you through this book, in Jesus’ name, when you complete and understand Chapters 9 through 11 (if you do not understand it, reread it). There is nothing you cannot achieve if you imagine it to be, that Christ (the Father) is with you and in you. It does not matter how long you have been in an unstable life or relationship, have been abused, what your earthly parent has or does not have, or whether you are sorrowful or depressed. With the Father you are settled for life and continue with Him in heaven.

The child of God must let go of the life he or she has planned to accept the one that is waiting now—a beautiful relationship with God, the Father.

Your personal life, your creative life, and your professional life are all intertwined. I went through a few challenging years where I felt like a failure. But, it was imperative for me to go through that struggle; for me, it is the most inspirational thing in the world at the end of the day; as long as you treat it that way. Skylar Grey.

Forget those things that are behind you. God is your Father. "For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV) Through the power of God, it is my ultimate desire to see the kingdom of God obtain preeminence of earth. Thus, come out from among them and be ye separated. Call no man Father.

    CHAPTER

    1

    The Garden of Eden

H ave you ever owned a garden? Many years ago, my dad cultivated a garden close to an army barracks when he was a soldier, and the name of the barracks was My Young Army Barracks. My family lived in Block 32 of the barracks.

My family and I occupied the second apartment in a group of four flats upstairs. I remember many days standing on the terrace and, from the view upstairs, I could see that the garden looked greenish and beautiful. It was about fifty yards long. My dad grew vegetables, yams, and maize. During one harvest of the yams, one of our neighbors commented on how good and big one of the yams was. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that my dad gave a handsome smile on his achievement.

God was pleased with the end of His works, that He gave the highest mark—very good (see Gen. 1:31 KJV). There is nothing created that was bad, including humanity, the epitome of God’s creation. Where did terrible character traits such as abusiveness and wickedness come into existence? Did they establish themselves? Let us look back at the beginning of creation.

Heaven has been in existence since long before the earth, and it was designed before the earth (Gen. 1:1 AMP). There is no time record for the creation of heaven. In the spirit realm, time is infinite. The beginning of all humanity witnessed three aspects of life: formlessness, emptiness, and darkness. Let us take one after the other. First, in formlessness, you may discover that things are not taking shape in your life, business, or family, and you are disorganized, without a clarion direction.

Second, life may be empty, with no money, house, or means of livelihood. And third, in the darkness, there is always some dark side preventing you from achieving your goals or meeting your set target, such as indifference, whether you are born rich or not. A life outside of Christ is one of failed wealth.

Therefore, no matter your position within those three, a way out is within your reach. Speak the Word to alter the plot. There is a set time for a woman who is pregnant to bear a child. Also, there is a set time for everything on earth. Time is what separates emptiness from blessings, if only you can wait for the sowing and reaping. The Father used the power in the spoken word to establish the universe. The Word is the oldest entity in heaven and, later, earth.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. (John 1:1–3 New King James Version, NKJV)

There is no description of the creation of angels or cherubs (I will talk more about cherubs later). But an angelic being was with God and celebrated the nature of the earth (see Job 38:4–7). Note in verse 7 (NKJV), When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy, the morning’s stars and sons of God are angelic beings. Their abode is in heaven. God existed before all others; cherubs, angels, and later everything on Earth was created.

Gen. 1:3 (KJV) And God said, let there be light: and there was light.

On the creation of the earth, God SAID by making Himself to appear physically on the ground (earth). That is, He looked and appeared on earth, physically as light (let there be light) There are 20 scriptures that say God is light, one of such is 1 John 1:5 (KJV) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. It is not a fair fight on a battle between spiritual (darkness) and physical. God knowing these; He knows the end from the beginning, (see Isa. 46:10 (CEV) that is why He became the light (physical), when He saw the chaos on earth; earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. There were powers: formlessness, emptiness, and dark, holding the earth captive. (as I have explained above, repeated for emphasis)

Light is the significant thing to have in all aspect of life. All humankind need light (knowledge) to succeed on earth. The LIGHT is in all humanity, and the Lord gave the man dominion of all things. As a proof of the supremacy, He asked the man to show his authority be given the name to all animals. (See Gen. 2:19 (KJV) "And out of the ground the LORD God formed
