    Foreword 1

I seldom hear about the midbrain because there are very few articles written about it. Dr David Ting is one of the very few who is doing research and courses about the midbrain.

The outcomes from midbrain activation often make people sceptical because they seem magical and beyond understanding. For example, they include reading, walking, and even cycling with eyes closed. People who’ve experienced midbrain activation can distinguish colours on a flashcard by touching, listening, and smelling. Apart from the unconventional abilities, Dr David’s team were unable to give a logical explanation to satisfy the sceptics. However, through many years of research, they have finally come up with scientifically acceptable explanations. Though these phenomena are beyond the ordinary, it does not mean that it does not exist!

Using the television as an example, how is it possible for people to appear in a light box? After a period, television has become more common, and people no longer question it. Then the use of a remote control to adjust the channels of the television seemed like magic!

When the telephone was invented, many people felt it was unthinkable. People could talk to one another thousands of miles away! After a period, people invented the wireless telephone. More and more people appeared to be crazy, as they seemed to be talking to themselves while walking on the street.

What appears to be impossible and magical becomes part of everyday life today. The main reason is ignorance. People dare not believe due to a lack of information and scientific apparatus to test something new. In the same way, midbrain activation is at its early stage. There is a lack of information and a lack of scientific apparatus to test the phenomena from the midbrain.

The midbrain was not discovered by Dr David. He is gathering all the available information from the scientists to set up a structured system to activate the midbrain. It has been proven to be effective when the participants are in the right state of mind. The active midbrain has high-sensory (or supersensory) perception (HSP) and strong memory power.

I remember, from a discussion about midbrain activation over a meal this year (2018) with him, that it is important to have at least six months of continual follow-up to complete the process. Apart from activation, there is a need to deactivate the brain as well, and the golden age is between seven to eleven years old. Coincidently, my daughter is seven years old, and she is the first person in my family circle to benefit from this program. This is going to be the best gift for my daughter in her lifetime.

Dr David says he is passionate about imparting midbrain activation to more people so that all the children in the whole world may benefit from it. He hopes to begin in the Asia Pacific and expand to the other parts of the world. I feel that his passion is awesome and deserves our full respect.

Let me extend my sincere blessings. May everyone in the whole world be educated.

    Foreword 2

We constantly hear about the need to have a balance of IQ and EQ to be successful. The need to have a strong SQ (Sensory Quotient) has been completely forgotten! Humanity has suffered so much due to the inability to sense and predict the attacks from the natural world, such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and whirlwinds. We are unable to avoid disasters because everyone has forgotten that we are equipped with supersensory perceptions that are able to detect the changes in the atmosphere. We are handicapped or blinded because of our total dependence upon IQ and EQ for survival. We are likely to reject anyone who comes to us saying that there is an earthquake next week. We trust the meteorological department, which is equipped with modern equipment, to give us the weather forecast, rather than someone who senses it by using his or her brainpower. Are we willing to go beyond and think outside of the box?

From my observation about midbrain activation, I am very fascinated with the powerful results children can achieve from supersensory perceptions. I strongly believe that we cannot afford to miss the SQ and reject the subject of Midbrain Activation anymore. I have been awakened after seeing what children can perform when they have HSP (higher sensory perception.)

We need high SQ in our daily living if we want to improve our quality of life. We have scientists who launch new technologies to replace the old in view of improving the quality of products. We have HD (high-definition) screens, super HF (high-fidelity) sound effects, fixative fragrance for best quality perfume, and so on. We need to upgrade our SQ to know the differences of the improvements. While listening to a musical performance, those who have powerful auditory sensory perceptions benefitted because the music touched their hearts and brought about changes. While listening to a lecture, they could hear what had been said and benefitted from what had transpired.

We need midbrain activation just as much as we need to eat a balanced diet for healthy living. We need SQ, just as the blind person needs a pair of new eyes. While children will improve in their cognitive development, we need to improve ourselves to be the persons we want to be. We can sense the feelings of others so that we have empathy and become wiser in our dealings with people. We can improve our performance because we become more intuitive and have wisdom beyond human understanding.

Dr David has dedicated his life to doing midbrain activation because he knows the potential of what he is doing. He is like a farmer sowing seeds all over the world, and it’s only a matter of time before a new trend is rising—everyone will prioritise attaining a balance of IQ, EQ, and SQ. After spending time talking to Dr David, I realise that what he is doing is just the tip of an iceberg.

If you understand the importance of SQ, you will be like me! I have a strong fire in me—I eagerly desire and am willing to pay any price to have my midbrain activated. I hope everyone will have a balanced brain function so that I am surrounded by smarter people!

    Mr Steve Yem

    Introduction

I often hear about the left brain and right brain but not the midbrain. (The midbrain is the topmost part of the brainstem, the connection centre between the brain and the spinal cord. There are three main parts of the midbrain—the colliculi, the tegmentum, and the cerebral peduncles). The midbrain, in this book, includes the diencephalon and corpus callosum. The diencephalon is the region of the embryonic vertebrate neural tube that gives rise to anterior forebrain structures, including the thalamus, the hypothalamus, the posterior portion of the pituitary gland, and the pineal gland. The corpus callosum is a thick band of nerve fibres that divides the cerebral cortex lobes into left and right hemispheres. It connects the left and right sides of the brain, allowing for communication between both hemispheres. The corpus callosum transfers motor, sensory, and cognitive information between the brain hemispheres. The midbrain is like the internet connection in your computer system.

Midbrain activation is going to be the trend of the future as more and more people come to know that the secret to accelerated learning is in the power of the brain.

My students can give a quick summary of a book within five minutes, and some are able to comprehend a book from an unknown language. The first time I discovered the beyond language barrier (BLB) took place at Kota Kinabalu. A student in my class described the content of a Chinese book in detail. When I asked him to do it in Chinese, he said he does not read Chinese! A similar case happened when a Chinese student flipped a Vietnamese book, and she could tell the content accurately. I have seen with my own eyes how an Indian student is able to comprehend a book in Chinese during a demonstration at Penang. I believe all students can do it, since I have seen so many students demonstrating BLB abilities.

I hold a book in my hand in Malaysia and show the book cover to the students in India through video conferencing. They can give me a quick summary of the book, even though we are thousands of miles apart—beyond distance barrier (BDB.) This has been proven by scientist Masaru Emoto, who arranged to have some people in California bless the water in Japan. He discovered that there is no distance barrier because the structure of the water molecules was changed accordingly. He discovered two amazing facts about frequencies—beyond language barrier (BLB) and beyond distance barrier (BDB). Therefore, what I am doing with Midbrain Activation is scientifically correct!

Some of my students have superspeed memory (SSM). They can memorise flashcards at incredible speed. For example, some can memorise forty cards in forty seconds without even looking at them! I have done this repeatedly with different students, and they are able to memorise about seventy cards quickly. If a little more time is given, they can memorise five hundred cards. I have seen some students have the ability to memorise a page full of words after staring at it for thirty seconds. Since their memory is so good, they can score more than ninety marks on all the subjects in school, which is somewhat miraculous for a secondary school student.

I have proven to everyone the difference between nature and nurture, which means a remarkable difference between trained and untrained brainpower. All the effort it takes to train the midbrain and the ability to use it result in differences like those between heaven and hell. You can achieve much more if you make the right choice—that is, to activate the midbrain first—and learning is going to be fun and easy. Probably, your lack of knowledge about the midbrain and its functions has caused much suffering for everyone involved.

Most of you are joining skill development courses—learning to play musical instruments, draw, paint, work with robotics, perform mental calculations, write essays, tell stories, dance, perform drama, participate in aerobics, and so on. These courses are good and important. But what is more crucial is to activate or improve the brain first. The second step is to do skill training. It will be easier and more enjoyable.

What is more important? The cup or the liquid in the cup? If there is a hole in the cup, whatever liquid you pour into it will be lost due to leakages. Unless you have a powerful brain that can remember a huge quantity of information, skills training will be tiring and frustrating.

I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities about education and self-development! The trend is to go for tuition classes and skills training classes, rather than Midbrain Activation.

Please activate the midbrain first so that you have unbelievable memory power and superspeed learning capabilities, which will enable you to enjoy yourself while acquiring knowledge and skills. You must put the horse before the cart. Improve your brainpower first, and many good things will naturally come to place.

As an educationist for more than thirty years, I have been helping students, parents, and teachers solve their problems. I found children who have good attitudes and are hard-working but are unable to achieve good results academically. Many parents are running out of ideas on how to help their children pass the exams with flying colours, as they have poor memory and are highly active and playful. Many teachers are stressed while helping the students to learn.

Students nowadays are carrying a school bag heavier than their own body weight, and the amount of homework given by the schoolteachers often makes them tired and angry. They are unable to enjoy their childhood because they have been forced to become bookworms, and their eyes are glued to papers for many frustrating hours every day.

I am very sure that students need to improve their brainpower by activating their midbrain. That means accelerated learning, superspeed reading, and supermemory. I hope everyone involved in education will become knowledgeable about learning how to learn so that you can assist others and free them from the prison of enslavement to unwanted workload and stressful afternoons and evenings after school.
