About this ebook

This book was written so that I could share what it was like for me to move into someone’s home who is not related to me. I experienced a lot of different emotions while I was living there. It is scary to have to trust strangers with your very life—physical and emotional. I came from a dysfunctional background. I was very intimidated for a while. I wanted the children who are facing similar challenges in their life to realize not all strangers are out to use and abuse you. I was very blessed to be placed with these people. There are some unhealthy foster homes, but credit is to be given to the ones who opened their hearts and minds to the hurting children of the world.

    New Beginnings

I remember the crisp, cool weather day that I met my first foster parents. I was excited, nervous, and a little scared. To tell the truth, more scared than anything.

It was the first time that I would be living with someone that is not a part of my family.
