Aknowledgements
There are so many people that the words Thank You
cannot possibly express the love and gratitude I have for the part you played in my Tyler’s life.
First, I must thank my Mother, Suzan Bible for all of the free time and love that she supplied to my children. Tyler loved his Grandma so much!
Second, Amy Neff—he adored his little big sister and you also were such an enormous source of support. You were his favorite person, Mamy
.
Tommy, he loved you so much. Thanks to you he learned how to be a dare-devil and land on his feet.
Jarrett and Diane Bible—thank you for always being there and helping with the financial end when it got to be too much.
Dr Jay Fortman and Dr Yvonne Ferguson—I would never have survived the past 14 years without either one of you. Thank you for being there for Tyler-and for me.
Christen Gomez, Debra Keys-Thomas, Sally Stonefelt, Shad Springer and so many more-thank you for making a difference. Christen, he adored you.
Adrian Arciniega, Jason Tarman, Laurie Hollbrook OF Los Prietos Boys Academy and juvenile probation-what you do is hard work-and I wish to express my gratitude for what you tried to do for my son.
A special thanks to Michael Morgan for taking Tyler on with The Oydessy Project
and investing your time in his passion of writing and performing. Your program makes a difference.
Lastly, I must thank El Camino Elementary, Boys And Girls Club, La Colina Junior High School, and San Marcos High School for seeing me a lot more than you do most parents.
It takes a village.
There is one more person that I have to express my deepest thanks, and even more love to than anyone on this long list-and that is to my dearest, loving husband, Matthew Duffy McGough. You were a huge support system to both Ty and I through the years while we were communicating and your letters to Ty while he was in Los Prietos, but in Tyler’s own words to you prior to his passing you were more of a Dad to him than his own was
. I wish you could have been here with us sooner. Thank God you came when you did.
The Reason I wrote this book
I actually started to write this 6 years ago-but my son found my journals of our life together and became extremely upset. I discontinued it immediately. When Tyler passed this past April I knew that I had to get our story out there.
Above all else, this is a love story. It is about the extreme and unconditional love that my son and I had for each other.
