Alton James

Having earned his Bachelors in English from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, storytelling has been a profound aspect of Alton Jamess, Ph.D. life. Concurrently, he minored in African-American Studies and Music. Educating richly melanated peoples of the diaspora through storytelling and music is his purpose in lifeso much so, that James went on to teach English, African-American History, and Music at both the 6-12 and Higher Education levels. He went on to earn his Masters (University of Michigan - Ann Arbor), Ed.S, and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Wayne State University). Currently, James continues his work as a film music composer and audio specialist in the world of film.
