WHETHER WE SIP our morning coffee from the deck of a beach cottage or at the edge of the surf, the splendor of God’s creation begs us to slow down and enjoy the beautiful coastal gift He has provided. Each wave sounds out God’s declaration of existence. The seashore beckons us, and we are forever transformed. Its peacefulness erases stress, and our spirit is taken to a place of tranquility. Our memories linger on, long after our footprints and sandcastles are gone. We long again for colorful morning skies with hues of orange and pink and the sun’s warmth to ease the chill of winter days. We recall the invigorating coolness of salty breezes as hungry cries of seagulls fill the air, and we look forward to the day we can return to the seawater’s soothing cure and the sand’s restorative power.
