About this ebook

This a story of a typical American family. Michael Wilson is the head of the family. He stands six feet tall and is forty years old. He is a self-made millionaire and owner of a steel company. His wife, Mary, is a beautiful thirty-eight-year-old blonde. Yes, and she has an enchanting smile. Her smile was the first thing that Michael noticed about Mary, which drew him to eventually marry her. Michael and Mary have two sons: Daniel, nineteen years old, and Jimmy, seventeen years old. And there is Marys mother, Anna, and Michaels mother, Sue. And oh yes, Pal, the small dog.

The story basically centers on Mary. She experienced two fatal accidents where she miraculously escaped and lived to tell about both of them.

The first occurred when she was driving her convertible car on a highway and a deer suddenly ran in front of the car and caused Mary to lose control, ran off the road, and crashed on a large road. She was thrown out of the convertible car into a grassy area. Her head hit against a large rock, and she was knocked out. On the other hand, the car went over a cliff, down into a deep canyon, and crashed onto a road, and it caught fire. So it was thought that Mary died in the burned car. When Mary regained consciousness, she only had a sore head. She struggled to her feet and grabbed her head. Her head was sore, otherwise, she was all right. She struggled to her feet and looked around. She was confused. She did not know who or where she was. She suffered amnesia. Mary was thought to be dead. She was away from her husband and family for four years.

Her next accident was when the airplane she was on crashed in which she and her four-year-old son were the sole survivors of the crash. How did she happen to have a four-year-old son? Well, when she had her first accident, she was three months pregnant.

Mary eventually regained her memory. In the plane crash, she was knocked out. When she awakened, she remembered everything. So eventually, she returned home, just to find out that on the same day that she returned, her husband was to remarry another woman. Will she get to the wedding soon enough to stop it?

    CHAPTER 1

It was a beautiful summer morning, the kind of day you would like to be just lying on the beach and watching the ocean waves.

Michael awakened early. He raised up and looked over at Mary his wife in their other twin bed who was still sleeping. He walked over to her bed. She was still sleeping in the twin bed. He leaned over and kissed her. She opened her eyes and he pulled away but not all the way because Mary reached out and grabbed him around the neck with both hands and pulled him down toward her and her lips tenderly pressed on his lips.

Mary pushed him away and said with a smile Do you think you’re a better lover then Romeo? Michael broke out in a laugh and said, Yes and I think you are a better lover then Juliet."

Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. Mary cried out Who is it. It was Jimmy who said Say mom, you know we are going to the beach today. Mary said "Jimmy we have plenty of time. It’s only six o’clock. We will be leaving about ten o’clock, it’s still very early. Oh alright mom replied Jimmy.

Everybody was at the table for breakfast at eight. All except Daniel who was out jogging. Daniel was preparing to enter the Olympics next year in July. Daniel finally arrived and joined the others for breakfast.

Then Mary told Daniel, Bring the van around the front. So they all got in the van and took off for the beach. Jimmy looked out the rear window and saw Pal the dog running behind the car. Jimmy said, Pal is running behind us. Michael stopped the car and picked Pal up.

So they arrived at the beach and found a parking place. So they all got out and found a place on the sand and set up their blankets and umbrellas. The boys, Jimmy and Daniel went for a swim.

It turned out to be a very hot day. Around noon time they all ate lunch. Jimmy looked over his shoulder and noticed a man wearing a long overcoat, Jimmy shouted "Hay look at that guy over there in that overcoat in all this hot sun.

Jimmy started laughing and everybody started laughing and Mary spoke out, An overcoat in all this hot weather. The man noticed that they were laughing at him so he walked over to them with a big smile on his face and said, Oh I see you’re laughing at me and my coat.

Michael said, Well we thought it was quiet unusual. The stranger said, Did you know that on the desert the more clothes you wear the cooler you will be? But latter on when it cools down, I’ll take the coat off, and you will be surprised.

Michael stated, You talk with an English accent. The stranger answered Yes I’m from London England. Well I’ll see you people later when it cools off somewhat. Socheerio.

It was getting close to five thirty in the evening. The sun was going down. So as they were gathering up everything getting ready to leave, Jimmy looked around and saw the Englishman again. But this time he did not have his overcoat on. He was wearing his swimming trunks.

Jimmy exclaimed, look how built his body is, he has some very big muscles. The Englishman came over and said, We’ll now that the suns down I can walk around and show off. He had a big smile on his face.

Michael said, You must work out. The Englishman said I go often to the gym and workout. But I find it quiet hard to find a regular job here in America. Michael reached in his jacket and pulled out a card and gave it to the Englishman. Here take this, and go to this address Monday, and ask for Michael, and I will put you to work. So he thanked Michael and on leaving he said, cheerio old chap. while driving home. Jimmy asked. What did the Englishman mean dad when he said cheerio old chap. Michael said, Well that was only an English way of wishing you well. They finally arrive home. Went into the house and ate their supper, and everyone went to bed.

The next day everybody, was preparing to go about their everyday activities. All except Mary who was preparing to go to San Diego to see her Grandmother. She asked Jimmy to bring her car around the front. She said, Bring the convertible. Jimmy said, OK mom.

Jimmy noticed that the rear left tire was flat. He went and told his mother. Mary said "Well you don’t have your driver’s license yet, just go and tell Daniel to take the tire off. Take it over to the tire shop. This is his day off he’s not working today, so Daniel ended up taking the tire off and taking it to the tire shop. On returning he told his mother that the tire would be ready late this evening.

So Mary replied, she probably would not be able to go before tomorrow. While she was talking Michael came in, Michael, Oh I thought you were to see your grandparents, what happen? Mary said, The tire on the car was flat. I just have to wait until tomorrow to go.

Then Michael turned to his mother and said, Well mom what are you and dad going to do? Sue, Michael’s mother said, Well me and your dad have been separated for six months now. And I told him we will never get back together until he changes his bad habits. Michael said, Oh you mean his drinking habits? Yes replied Sue, also his hanging around women in those clubs he goes to.

Well I talked to him last week and he said he stopped his drinking. Sue said, Yes but for how long. If he stops drinking for six months maybe I’ll believe him. So, it’s up to him. One thing he needs to do is to keep himself busy doing something. Sue looked over at Daniel and Jimmy and said, Maybe you boys could probably invite your grandpa to go fishing sometimes.

Jimmy said, "Well we don’t know how to fish. But maybe grandpa could teach us. We will check with grandpa and find out.

So it was about midnight when everybody decided to go to bed. The next morning the sun was bright and warm. Mary woke up and as usual she went over to Michael’s bed and kissed him. With them, whoever wakes up first goes over and does the kissing. They only practice this until they sleep together.

Michael said what time are you leaving for San Diego to see your parents. Mary said, "Oh about 10: o’clock. Michael said make sure you tell them I said Hi, Mary said, she would.

So now that the flat tire was taken care of. Mary was ready to go. She took a few sodas and put them in the back of the car. Then she took off. She finally reached the highway and was cruising around fifty miles per hour as she drove she noticed a woman up ahead that was waving her down.

Mary stopped and picked her up and asked her where she was going. The woman said, "I’m on my way to San Diego. So Mary was not aware that the woman was an escaped convict from jail. She was on the run.

Mary finally turned right off the highway and took another road. Mary chose this road because it took her way up into the mountains. Where she could get a beautiful view of the country.

Mary was getting thirsty so she pulled over and stopped the car. She went to the rear of the car and got two soda’s, and got back in the car. Gave one soda to the woman in the car. One thing Mary did forget and that was to use her seatbelt.

Mary continued driving and suddenly a deer ran in front of the car causing Mary to lose control and turned right off the road and slammed into a large rock causing Mary to be thrown all the way out of the car and landed on a bush, but her head hit against a large rock, and was knocked out. The car rolled down and went over a cliff and, down the bottom of the canyon and smashed on a large rock and busted into flames of fire.

Mary finally regained consciousness and stood up. She was unhurt except for a sore head. However she was confused and did not know who she was or where she was. She suffered amnesia. She was able to walk over to the main road.

Finally a car appeared. It was Betty, a business woman who owned a number of restaurants. She saw Mary standing by the road so she stopped and asked her what happen. Mary was embarrassed because she was confused and not knowing who she was. She lied and said that her boyfriend and she had an argument and he put her out of the car and drove away.

Betty ask her what she was going to do. Mary said she would be looking for a job. Betty said, "Well I can help you get a job. Get in, you can work in my restaurant.

In the meantime a helicopter spotted the burned car of Mary and reported it to the authorities who came and examined the car.

The woman that escaped from jail that was in the car was so badly burned, she could not be recognized. So the badly burned body was thought to be that of Mary. The license plate on the car led the authorities to Mary’s home. The bad news was revealed to Mary’s husband and family. The family was under the impression that Mary was dead.

Mary’s grandparents in San Diego received the bad news. However Mary’s grandmother firmly refused to believe that Mary was dead. She said that maybe she was thrown from the car sense she was driving a convertible.

Her husband said, What about the burned body in the car? His wife said, Well I haven’t figured that out yet. But I don’t believe she’s dead. Then her husband said. "Don’t ware yourself out trying to play detective.

In the meantime we see Betty and Mary arrived in the city of Anahein late in the evening. Betty had a large home right in the back of her restaurant. She had a hallway attached to the back of her home that lead over to the back of the restaurant. So Betty took Mary into her home.
