As I walked into the mail-bag factory where I was working, I could see my colleague Mike eyeing me up.
‘Looking good, Julie,’ he winked as I shuffled past.
‘Thanks,’ I murmured, my cheeks burning.
This is getting ridiculous, I thought, making my way to my work station.
Mike, then 17, was a teenage Jack the Lad. Loved his football, cheeky banter.
He had a mature side, too. He was a great listener and easy to chat to.
But he was clearly just having fun, flirting with an older woman like me…
