Dedication
So far in my life, God has blessed me with four little treasures. They are my grandchildren, who I am very proud of and love! I felt I needed to share my thoughts with them, thoughts that at this time in their lives they are too young to understand, but yet might understand in later years. Maybe through my thoughts and beliefs, they might learn to know me better and grow to believe in the wonderful things that God has given us, to shape our lives and guide us through life. I truly believe that Faith, Hope, and Love are gifts, that we as God’s children are to learn and use, to shape and make our lives complete and to share with others. I pray for a wonderfully blessed life for my grandchildren. I hope that I will see them grow to be successful adults and live a life in Christ’s love. I thought an adventure story with these beliefs, might be a way to learn, dream and enjoy. So to you my darling grandchildren, Grandpa has written a story and has drawn pictures for you to possibly learn from and escape into. I also want to mention and thank my two close friends, Ken and Wanda Erskine. WIthout you, this book would not be possible. I often sit and wonder the reasons why God blessed me with your amazing friendship. I hope you know how much you meant to me and the memories I will hold forever in my heart.

The Quest
1TheQuest.jpgIn the small Village of Chebanse, tucked away in a vast mountain region, lived a young boy named Quinn Buttersworth. A terrible plague had spread through the countryside and had taken his father and mother, leaving him to be placed in an orphanage for most of his youth. As he grew up, he became a fine young man, strong and eager to work and make a life for himself. Everyone who knew Quinn liked and respected him. Quinn was full of life and every day seemed exciting to him. Unfortunately, Quinn was missing something in his life. He had a soul longing to be fulfilled and decided he should go and search for what his life was lacking. He asked those who he thought
