    Foreword

T hroughout the Bible, there are numerous examples of how God showed up for His people and changed what seemed impossible situations into great possibilities.

Sometimes when we’ve struggled in an area for a long time it is easy to give up and accept things the way they are but Corranie’s book assures us that it doesn’t matter how long we’ve been in those circumstances, God has the power to turn them around.

As a true believer and ardent follower of Christ; Corranie, along with her husband and children demonstrate a strong conviction that God can and will do what appears to be impossible to man.

Page after page of Biblical truth blended with personal testimonies and experiences of the writer, run throughout the book. Corranie takes the stories out of the pages and brings them to life so that we today can identify with them. It makes one laugh, rejoice and weep as one delves into their lives, into their hearts.

This book in essence captures how to live victoriously amidst the challenges of life with the profound biblical truth that Nothing is impossible with God. What may seem hopeless to man is God’s opportune time to show His great and mighty power.

We can find security in Christ within this book. It stands as an invitation to everyone who wants to step out in faith and experience something more of the power and presence of God.

For the Christian reading Nothing Is Impossible With God, it becomes clear that God continues to use the circumstances we face, to establish or bring to fulfilment, His plan and purpose in our lives.

For those still grappling with difficult situations, the writer courageously admonishes the respective readers to hold firm to their faith and wait for the Lord to manifest His greatness.

As a minister of the gospel and pastor for over twenty-six years, reading the book has strengthened my faith. I find the contents useful during counseling. I will therefore recommend this book to those who continue to counsel persons who are on the brink of giving up hope.

A ll the glory, praise and honor belong to my heavenly Father for planting the dream in me, for gifting me with the ability and perseverance to carry out this assignment and most importantly for his scriptures. Without his holy words and promises in which I live, move and have my being, I never would have made it.

Much love and gratitude to my dear husband, Roger Charles, for his unwavering support and constant nudging to start the writing process. The Holy Spirit used him to stir up the gift in me and for this I am truly grateful. His constructive evaluation and editing have fueled my desire to accomplish this assignment. He is and will always remain my mentor and best friend.

I am thankful for my mother, Erene Jacobs. Her prayers, admirable strength and her enrollment in bible classes were a great source of motivation. To Chayah and Annah, my lovely twin daughters, thank you for waking me and pulling me out of the house on mornings for our girl meetings. It was during those times that I received a lot of inspiration.

Thanks to my sons Chayim, whose special love for reading and regular inquiries about the progress of the book ignited my determination to complete it and Christopher, whose birth and addition to our family made Philippians 4:13 resonate in my life.

    Introduction

B ack in my primary school days, I loved spelling. I believe it was because my teacher made it so incredibly exciting and competitive at the same time. One of the fun methods I enjoyed was when she would ask us to find as many words as we can from a bigger word within a given time frame. The class would then look forward to see who would come up with the most words. We always kept a dictionary close by for some of us were really good at making up new words that had never been seen or heard before. It had to be in the dictionary in order to be accepted. Up to this day, I still dissect big words into smaller ones. It is as a result of that challenge that each time I see the word impossible, I also see the smaller word possible in it. And every time I see the word giant, I see the word ant in it. Most persons if they see a giant, they’ll quiver or tremble in their boots, at least that is what Saul and his army did. They were afraid of this gigantic figure, called goliath, in front of them. Their eyes only saw the giant, but David, a little shepherd boy, walking by faith, saw the ant and killed him with one stone.

The purpose of this book is to highlight to you dearest reader that there is a possible in every impossible situation. According to Bill Johnson, the reality of the Christian life is measured by the impact on the impossible. He further stated in his article that there is some satisfaction in human accomplishment but it’s not really lasting. There is no satisfaction like seeing the impossible becoming possible without human talent and ability. I could not agree more. Many of the accounts in the bible are questioned because man simply cannot begin to understand how they took place. Creation has been and still is one of the most debated topics because man simply believe it is impossible for a word to be spoken and the world come into existence.

Many theories have been given to explain the crossing of the red sea by the Israelites, the falling of the walls of Jericho, Daniel emerging unharmed from the Lion’s den, Jonah praying in the belly of a whale for three days, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace and walking out without a single burn or the smell of smoke on their bodies. All this was possible with the one true and living God not human talent or ability.

This book zooms in on the lives of six wonderful women in the bible who were all faced with impossible situations and circumstances. It explores mainly their struggles with infertility, loss of loved ones and dealing with the miraculous.

As a woman, you may identify with one or more of the struggles these women
