LORRAINE D. GUIDRY was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She married and had five children. Widowed at a young age, she raised her children as a single mother. She was an elementary and middle school teacher. Her love of writing poetry and childrens books is evident in this wonderful story, The Journey of the Snow People. Mrs. Guidry passed away in 2011, following a brief illness.
