Last nights sky was a perfect color
for the scene.

The two of us,
sprinting through whispers and words.

And we ended up precisely
where we started:
two souls
haunted, like lost seconds in space
falling in and out of love.

Where Light Separates from Dark - Nicholas Olah

    Love Song

    37729.png

                          Time passes,

                          listens to strangers dwelling on

                          cardboard cutouts of dreams.

The shore gives way to nighttime waves

                          that carve pictures of lovers

                          in the sand.

Stars jump between shimmer and shine,

                          calling out nameless faces

                          of passersby.

                          Memories fill minds;

forced breath fills out open air.

A girl takes in the scene,

curves her chapped lips into a smile.

Romance slips into the air like

                          pain from a poet’s soul.
