    Today’s society, it seems to me, has become confused. Threats of war are constantly in the air. People are dying in the streets. There are mass shootings. Shootings in churches. Bombings both foreign and domestic. People dying of starvation. Police are even hated for shooting people in the line of duty. People are killing police officers in retaliation.

    Some people are shouting police brutality, however, those same people do not seem to notice the officers that die protecting them. And it also seems that people are protesting issues and completely forgetting their own history in the process. NFL players were taking a knee to the flag to protest police brutality. That same flag represents freedom and equality. Freedom from tyranny and slavery. Equality for all races and gender. Many people today are forgetting about the many people that have died for that
