About this ebook

Many of the prophecies about the last days have been fulfilled. We now find ourselves deep in the last days, with time ticking down until Jesus comes back for His church. So where is the Christian church in America? It’s seemingly absent from the critical issues facing us today, like abortions-on-demand and the homosexual agenda, which God hates. Why have we not been about our Father’s business? The church, for the most part, has been silent on these issues because our government, political factions, and the media have made it socially unacceptable to speak out against them. We are Christians and also American citizens. So why haven’t we been up in arms about the healthcare program, tax increases, out-of-control spending, illegal immigration, open borders, voter fraud, and other issues?

For years, we have believed our government would take care of all our problems and we have given up our freedoms because we are just too busy having fun to care about the details. So in the mean time, the government has grown huge and incredibly liberal, leaving us in a blank stare at this Goliath of a government and not knowing what to do or what can be done at this point. We all know it is not right and is moving quicker every day in the wrong direction.

The answer to this question is deep in the Bible, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. When read properly, they release enormous power back into our hands in order to turn our country and government back to God and the people. It is now incumbent upon our spiritual leaders to connect our churches together and educate us on the principles set forth in them so we can take action as Jesus would.

    PREFACE

In May 2007, my wife, Terri, and I went on a cruise to the Caribbean. As we were boarding the ship, the Holy Spirit impressed upon me to meet a particular man standing in line about twenty people ahead of us. They herded us in like cattle, and as we were winding back and forth, I tried to introduce myself but to no avail. After a few days on board, I saw him and his wife eating lunch, so I sat at their table and said, Great cruise, isn’t it? They acknowledged my comment without even looking up. They quickly finished their meal and left the table. I said to myself, Well, that went well!

During the remainder of our enjoyable vacation, the Holy Spirit kept pressing me to meet the gentleman I had seen while boarding. So on the last night of the cruise, I saw him and his wife walking very fast. I ran up, tapped him on the shoulder, and said, Excuse me, I needed to meet you. My name is Dennis.

He told me his name was Maryland and introduced me to his wife, Queen. While my wife, Terri, and Queen got acquainted, I found out about Maryland, who was a Christian, a missionary, and a pastor. During our discussion, Maryland stopped, looked up toward heaven, and said, Thank You, Lord! Then he turned back to me and explained, The Lord showed me that when you go back to work, you are going to have trouble.

I replied, Really? My business is going pretty well.

Maryland responded, The Enemy wants to sift you like sand. After that, we exchanged phone numbers and said our good-byes. The test for a true prophecy is determined when what the prophet says actually comes to pass. If a prediction is wrong on even one point, you don’t believe anything that so-called prophet says.

I learned to believe Maryland’s prophecy, for when I returned to work, I faced many challenging circumstances. For example, upon returning from the cruise, I found out that on the day that I left for my cruise, my office manager had become very ill while dining at a restaurant. Paramedics took her to the hospital. From her experience, she developed agoraphobia. I never saw her again. In addition, after my vacation, my personal secretary gave her two-week notice because she was getting married and then was starting a health and fitness center. Suddenly, two vital employees from my business were gone!

In the weeks following our cruise, I realized that my meeting Maryland was no accidental happenstance. Clearly, the man had heard from God! Since our meeting, Maryland and I have remained in frequent contact. In fact, in 2011, my wife and I visited Maryland and his wife, Queen in Florida. By then my once-thriving talent agency had been reduced from over a dozen employees to only three.

During our visit, Maryland explained that I have a ministry in me, that it has to come out in its time, and that God will bless it. At first I wasn’t sure what the Holy Spirit had in mind, but I was willing to follow the Lord’s leading. Around six months after that visit, my neighbor Shane came by my house asking for prayer. After we prayed together, he suddenly looked up toward heaven and then looked back at me and said, The Lord showed me that you connect people for a living. You will connect people in a ministry. His statement left me dumbfounded, as he knew nothing about Maryland’s prediction or my ministry goals. I took that event as a further confirmation of God’s leading.

This new ministry and this book have developed little by little as the Holy Spirit has revealed various parts to me. Once when I thought I had it all figured out, I met my pastor, Philip De Courcy, for lunch. During our conversation, I realized how unprepared I was as Pastor De Courcy asked me questions for which I had no answers. With each new idea that surfaced, my pastor and I met for more discussion, and again I would realize my need for greater preparation. I may not have all the answers, but that is exactly why all our Christian brothers and sisters must connect with each other with all our gifts and talents and utilize them for the glory of the Lord and the continued vitality of America and its Constitution.

I want to acknowledge my pastor’s loving heart for correcting my errors and being so patient and kind with me while I have been putting all the pieces together. He has shared with me his invaluable perspectives and presented other sides to issues I had not completely addressed. I also want to profoundly thank Maryland for patiently guiding me on a journey I didn’t know was coming. He has helped and encouraged me the entire way. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge all my brothers and sister in Christ who have prayed for my ministry and me diligently; you know who you are. I also want to thank my wife, Terri, for her patience, unwavering support, and deep love.

This long process has been a labor of love, bringing many hours in prayer, many drafts, and writer’s cramp. Interestingly, I have never suffered writer’s block because the Holy Spirit has inspired it all!

As you are reading this book, please consider the following questions: Are you prepared to meet the Lord at any moment? Where do you and your family fit in to God’s plan? Are you ready to address the myriad of political issues that directly affect the church and your family? Are you prepared physically if the electric grid fails, martial law is declared, racial or religious tensions explode, an economic catastrophe develops, or other dire events occur overnight?

Reading this book will help you prepare for all that the Lord said would take place in the last days, and I hope you will find your particular place among the saints as we go through these times together.

    INTRODUCTION

This book has been given to me by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. By no means am I a biblical scholar, a mathematician, or a politician, so my book is in very simple and general terms, supported by Scripture. I will include limited details on how our country was founded and on the Bible, but I will point the way through Scripture for each Christian American patriotic citizen to take stock of what God has, by His grace, given us, which is His Word and this beautiful country and enormous freedom. Many have fought and died for this freedom and to establish our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Included here are my personal thoughts and life experiences.

A storm is raging inside me to promote and defend Jesus and America. Why as a Christian do I include America? It is because Jesus said for us to occupy until He returns for us, and we were either born here or are naturalized citizens. We have not held our ground but have given way for the Devil to take the reins. Through our neglect we have allowed the Devil to deceive our people into believing we are wrong on the issues that are plaguing our country, like abortion, homosexuality, and many other issues. God is not pleased with our stand because, frankly, we aren’t taking a stand for anything, it seems. The church is silent on the issues that are very important to God, and through our silence, it is as if we are condoning these issues.

I want to be very clear that America is currently under God’s wrath, as we have not stood up for God. We have allowed God to be taken out of the public square, and we have accepted the lie of separation of church and state to mean that the church (Christianity or religion) has to be taken out of everything that pertains to the state. What that actually means is that the state can’t tell us what religion to be or any at all. In other words we have the freedom to choose what faith we want to adopt, or we can belong to none at all, but that does not mean we are not a Christian country founded on Christian principles. It is not the restriction from prayer or faith of our choice; in fact, it is just the opposite.

An American conservative individual who doesn’t like a particular product just won’t buy that product any more. On the other hand, if an American liberal individual doesn’t like a particular product or view, then he or she feels that nobody should have that product or hold that view. In effect, they take freedoms away from everyone else when they don’t like something.

A good example is the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights, which says, in part, that we have the right to keep and bear arms and that right shall not be infringed. That means that if I want to have a gun in my house to protect my family, then I can possess one, and no one can take that right from me. At the time the Bill of Rights was written, many used guns as a means to put food on the table through hunting, but the provision was actually put in the Bill of Rights so that the government couldn’t intimidate anyone or infringe on our rights and also for self-protection. At other times, liberals feel that everyone should do whatever they want to do without regard to the Word of God, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights. When ideologies clash, we have a problem, and we must be vocal about our objections and not just shake our heads, as I know I have done in the past. It is time that we, as Christian American patriotic citizens, do not turn a blind eye to the events going on in our country as if they are meaningless and don’t matter because it does matter to God. We are a vital part of His army, and so it should very much matter to us.

We, as Christian American patriotic citizens (CAPC), have to realize we have two standards that we live by, and those are God’s Word, the Holy Bible, and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Bible is God’s Word to us, and we, as believers, must live by it. Those who aren’t believers are not required to live by it, and we are not commanded to force anyone to live by our standards. Everyone must choose for himself the way for his life because God allows us free will, and our Constitution allows for a free will. All this freedom of course comes with godly limits as outlined in the Bible and Constitution.

In John 6:44, Jesus said, No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up in the last day (NASB). Further, John 15:15–17 says the following:

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you. This I command you, that you love one another. (NASB)

So as believers, God has already chosen us before we were born. We must continually be on alert in this war against evil so we will make the right choices for God. Remember, God chose Israel, the Hebrews, as His chosen people, but those who rebelled were cut off. Just because you were chosen doesn’t mean you have made it and nothing is required of you. You must go the distance for the Lord, run the race, and finish as if to win it!

Joshua 24:15 says, If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (NASB). Jeremiah 29:13 says, And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart (ASV). Matthew 7:7 says, Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (NIV). We therefore have a free will to seek the Lord, to grow in grace, and to do His will and bear much fruit; we also have a free will to bear no fruit and be cut off and thrown into the fire. Thus, we are setting our course for eternity with God or eternity without God. In Matthew 10:34, Jesus said, Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword (ESV).
