The Point of Deflection

About this ebook
What makes us different? Is it the influence of our society, family, and friends? Or is it the circumstance and peer pressure that mold us into better or worse individuals? Life is all about the steps we take that land us into either the arms of success or failure. All in all, these decisions are ours to make, and sometimes these choices may put us into an edge, stranded and with no hope. Going back may not be an option anymore, and heading forth is hopeless as a huge ocean of calamities may be confronting us with limited privileges since we are on a dead end.
At this point, it’s where people lose hope and give up, or some even commit suicide. We lose sight of our dreams and goals, and we forget destiny has a distinctive way of viewing things. A huge obstacle of natural disaster and nuclear crisis in Japan brought forth profound individuals such as Soichiro Honda. So instead of giving up, that may be destiny’s way of leading us into a different quest, which we may have no idea about. Rest assured that passion can be found in the darkest of circumstances.
Dr. M. Bahaidar
About the Author Dr. M. Bahaidar is a man who all along had a passion of understanding personal needs. What is the most desirable in humans is a query that made the author inquisitive to learn more about life and existence in general. He believes life pays you back only with the pursuit that you push forth. For every act that we execute has its validity, and life always has a way of compensating. How many of us have wondered why we are here? Or what destiny is ours to follow? With this philosophy, it has made the author probe in different analyses and managed to influence the many desperate individuals who are in a dilemma of being lost in this dash of existence. Expository in nature with a glimpse of psychological analysis is the author’s unique way of enlightening people through his books. He talks to your ego and make you feel as though he knows you. Let’s hold it there and see what brought up all these ventures into existence or even quest of discerning humans and their behavior analysis. Throughout his childhood, the author has lived a life devoid of satisfaction. Dumb, stupid, good for nothing, and failure, among others, are some of the adjectives many would use on him. The reason behind the sudden change, or if you like “the point of deflection,” is his grandfather, his role model who made him transform into who he is today. He began as a failure, or so they called him, yet today he is a role model to many. So what’s stopping you?

The Point of Deflection Blurb
The Point of Deflection is a book that gives you insight in understanding why people change in let alone behavior but also in their perception. For instance, if you pose a question to a child regarding their future ambitions, they would be quick to respond with professions they have always looked up to such as a doctor, pilot or whatever gives impetus and drives their passion. It will come as no surprise ten to fifteen years down the line that response to the same question could differ significantly.
The question ringing in our heads is, so what changed? What makes us different? Is it the influence on us by our society, family, friends and colleagues? Would this be circumstantial or is it as a result of mounting peer pressure that transform us into better or worse individuals? Life is all about choices we consciously make that manifest into either marked successes and/or imminent failure.
Choices have consequences and at times looking back is not even an option. Moving forward when faced with insurmountable obstacles without a way out or the aid of a divine helper could twitch away your valid dream.
This is where people reach a point of no return and even consider committing suicide. We lose faith in our dreams and end up not realizing our destinies. Such was the case of disaster and nuclear crisis in Japan that saw the rise of Soichiro Honda.
From a humble beginning with a myriad of false starts, his life was later punctuated with remarkable achievements ranging from 470 inventions and 150 patents, honorary doctorate at Michigan Technical University and Ohio State University, to the highest honor of his country – Japan’s Blue Ribbon – and many other more distinguished achievements. Starting from a business with as little as $3,200 thousand dollars, he later founded the largest company with an annual turnover of more than $30 billion dollars, what is known today as the Honda Motor Co., Inc.
DR. M. BAHAIDAR, a prolific writer who sees the need to not only motivate but also to provide pragmatic solutions to existing life challenges. His curiosity saw the emergence of a contemporary writer, with a distinctive writing style that makes the reader relate to real situation he narrates. He has conducted extensive research on the philosophy of life and its psychological effect impacting on the human race. This brought about coverage of over 2,000 books, and dealing with almost 10,000 personal and family issues, which birthed the notion of inscribing 3 of the most exclusive books, ‘The Hidden Self,’ ‘The Point of Deflection,’ and ‘A household of Bliss,’ Visit your retail stores and/or online market to get yourself a copy of this award winning book which will completely transform your life.
Acknowledgments
With all humility, I wish to thank all those who have made my dream of my ideas to be distilled into a gem of a book come true— I have had this vivid, detailed dream since childhood to sensitize people on issues affecting them in the contemporary society. As I grew up the desire to positively influence and impact the quality of life of the people I interacted with from all walks of life became more profound.
It was after one of the pep talks I informally had that one of the previous attendees beseeched me to lend a helping hand. At the time I had no illusions of writing a book, I just knew God wanted me to cast my bread upon the water
and give Him the chance to use what He had given me.
This marked the beginning of piecing together such abstract ideas into a book format. It has been quite a journey and though I have been intrigued with the many lives I have touched, the many emotions it has brought about of tears as well as joy and to those whose lives that have been positively transformed and this has become my inspiration to write even more books.
I wish to acknowledge the following people for their significant role in the book, but in no specific order.
My family—my grandfather and grandmother, my dad and mom, and especially, my wife and son who have accorded me the greatest support ever.
My history teachers—Mr. Kimani, Mr. Kilu, Mr. Shaaban, Mr. Abdurahman, and Mr. Mwaisaka who changed my perception of academics. The personal attention they accorded me as a student made the difference.
Mr. Ignatius O. Mathew, the French and literature teacher was more than the editor I needed. He was very instrumental in editing the manuscripts for my first and second book. I would also like to thank Babu Ali for his unrelenting efforts. He was always there to advise and to provide books for guidance. Finally, I would like to thank my best friend Raja Qiff, who was instrumental in helping me write the book and special gratitude to Laban T. M’mbololo Esq. For his role in rolling out this revised edition.
All these individuals have played a big role towards the existence of this book.
Why Should You Read This Book?
Throughout his childhood, the author had lived a life devoid of satisfaction. Dumb, stupid, good for nothing, a failure were some of the adjectives many would use on him. He had no confidence in himself and to make it worse, no one saw anything good about him.
Despite these early pitfalls, there was one who believed in him. He was always there to encourage him and help him to soul search and rediscover himself and bring to life his God given talents—his grandfather. Above all, he took the mantle of being his hope, inspiration and encouragement.
Having lived only with his immediate family, it was good news and well received when his grandpa stepped in. The entire family worked tirelessly to keep him away from divisive thoughts of failure and instead constantly replaced them with self-confidence, courage and desire to discover his strengths and weaknesses. He didn’t go without a single textbook, despite regularly featuring at the bottom end of his class. Such were his early days at school. He can remember tears rolling down his mother’s cheeks when he failed his interview to secure a place in grade 1 and how she feared for his academic ability and pondered what the future held in store for him.
Have you ever had a serious negative thought of yourself? Ever looked at yourself in the mirror and all that you saw was a daft individual? The author was worse. He rewound nursery school! He moved from one school to another and rewound fourth grade three times.
The strongest pillar that God has given mankind is the family unit. Family provides a shoulder to lean on in times of need and life humiliating moments and surely, his own flesh and blood did not disappoint. His dad would often take him out to play, have a one-on-one talk with him, help him discover where his passion was, and above all, gave him the assurance that he would one day rise up to the occasion and would end up a very successful man.
He tried to provide him with the best of all that could pave way for a better future. His dad believed in education as an important cornerstone in his life and he gave him just that. He took him to the best academies, ensured adequate provision of books and stationery items as and when required, and all accorded him all the support along the journey and terrains of early schooling while also navigating and guiding him through other treacherous and sensitive life issues of gender and sexuality.
Bahaidar’s family played a great role in molding him into who he is today. There were constant reminders of imminent failure if one delved into anything they did not enjoy or find much value add. The greatest emphasis was mounting pressure from inside, for him to identify with what interested him and where his passion lay. The moment he identified his interests and his passion for life this became the beginning of his breakthroughs.
His grandfather, his hero and role model was a man who sacrificed everything just to put a smile on his face. Not even a single motivation story did he conceal from him.
He encouraged him into sports which provoked his
