I wrote this book because I lost my mom to cancer, and I based the book on what I went through in 1994. My mom and I were very close. So I wrote this book to help children cope with the loss of a family member. A child will be sad, will be crying, and will have a difficulty sleeping. My story will help turn children back to who they were before. That is done by bringing another life into the home. Then a child will develop his mind on this new life you bring into your home. This will make a child happy again.

I was born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. I have 3 other siblings. I lost my Mom to cancer in 1994. Then my Dad passed away with cancer in 1995. I went through this very hard i went into clinical depression. I was put on medication and I couldn’t talk to anyone. This grieving lasted for 16 years until i went off all the medication this doctor put me on was not for me. I opened up with my mental health nurse and it felt like a bubble burst. Before opening up I brought a small dog into my home. I had a picture taken with myself and my little dog and the first photo I was sad. Then I went for another photo about 6 years after and I had my smile back. So with new life being brought into my home this little dog changed my life around. I have a new career in writing children’s books. My first dog was Coco who I put in the story and I had to put Coco to sleep because he went blind. I have a new dog in my life today and his name is Rossco. He can say Ma Ma! a dog brings joy back into my home today.
