About this ebook
Jenna is nearly seven years old the summer of the fires. While visiting her grandmother, her sympathy for an injured fawn helps her to learn lessons about family love, traditions, bravery, and what really matters when forced to leave everything behind. This fictional story was inspired by a photograph taken during the Waldo Canyon Wildfire in Colorado during the summer of 2012. It is dedicated to the children of the Colorado Springs area who experienced loss, to the firefighters who worked tirelessly to protect our forests and homes, and to the people of the area who exemplified the true meaning of community.

My friend told me that cellars are good places to hide in a tornado,
