Macey Cahill you may be my best friend but if you do not get your butt out of this bed I swear to God I will not hesitate to dump a bucket of water on you!! I don’t want to be late for the first day of our senior year! shouted Avery. I groaned at the sound of her voice. I opened my eyes and looked at her only to find that she isn’t there!(By the way meet Avery my best friend also a pain in the ass more like my ass!)I closed my eyes and decided to sleep for a few more minutes and next minute I felt this icy cold liquid all over me!! AVERY ANDERSON YOU BETTER PRAY I DONT THROW YOU OUT OF THIS WINDOW she ran out of my room screaming I warned you. I had no choice but to get up and get done. Stopping to look in the mirror I realised that I actually don’t look as bad in the morning as I had expected. Today’s outfit consisted of Blue jeans, black and white converse and a black jersey. It’s kind of chilly outside. Other people would be going mad as its the first day of our last year but I just happen to dread it! It’s still school for another whole 12 months!! As expected Avery ran into my room screaming my name just as I was doing my hair. I’m done, I’m done calm your horses woman! FYI I do not have horses and its 7:45 I CANNOT CALM DOWN! I am going to be late because of you and if I am late I will ruin your life!"

Avery is pretty and popular, so am I but she takes it to head and its basically the only reason she loves school and I hate it! I’ve never been one for the limelight as you can see, I guess that’s what makes us, us.

okay, okay chill let’s go already stop talking more walking! I said, she just rolled her eyes and walked out.

The drive was pretty awesome seeing as we stopped at our favourite cake shop to pick up our lunch and sang pretty much the rest of the way to school.

School school school, what do you have in store for me this year?

We just made it in time to our lockers and the bell rang. We didn’t have the same classes so I said to her Catch you at lunch Aves. She blew me a kiss and ran of just like I did.

Maths bores the hell out me, I know im clever but even clever students get tired of maths! The siren sounded and I ran of to the cafeteria, I couldn’t wait to see everyone!!

Maaacccceeeeeeyyyyyyy I immediately knew who it was and ran of towards that person. He picked me up and swirled me around as I hugged him tightly! I missed you so much it feels like forever since I last saw you shaney. Meet the ‘squad’, Shane is the best brother friend I’ve always wanted, his too protective but I wouldn’t have him any other way. Then we have Hannah and Austin the two we all think are going to end up together and the last two, Avery who is my bestest girl friend/sister/partner in crime and her boyfriend Samuel. These aren’t just any kind of ordinary friends, they’re my extraordinary/weird family.

Omg!! Guys its our last year!!! I’m so excited we’re almost legal adults we can party all the time!! said Avery.

We all looked at her weirdly and Samuel was the one who took the words out of our mouths when has that ever been an issue for us to party?? His eyebrows raised and questioning.

Babe the feeling is different Avery replied. Everyone laughed at her, she shrugged and said Can we eat now? I’m starving!! We all nodded our heads in agreement and began eating. Just like every other day for the past 5 years Shane eats my lunch and I fight with him; Sam and Avery are eating one another’s mouths of and then we get Hannah and Austin who fight like those cliché couples who refuse to acknowledge the fact that they like one another but deep down we all know they do.

The siren rang and we all rushed to class as most of us had Mr Higgins now. Someone kept kicking my chair and I turned to see who it was but instead something or should I say someone else caught my eye.. I nudged Avery, what she asked. Isn’t that the new boy I asked her and she turned to look at who I was looking at, Yeah that’s him, Blake Henderson. No one really bothers with him I feel the kid sorry though he’s pretty intelligent but he gets bullied a lot. I kept staring at him but then the teacher started shouting and that snapped me out of my haze and I looked forward.

The period ended quite quick, everyone rushed out and so did we. The boys have practice so we wouldn’t get to see them if we weren’t fast enough, we met at our spot which happens to be a tree we all hangout at when we have no class or extra time.

‘Boo’ I jumped up and turned to hit the culprit! I see Shane shaking with laughter, of course it can only be you! Boy you gave me a heart attack I could have died and my death would have been on your hands not to forget I’d come haunt you every single day!

Everyone burst out into fits of laughter I rolled my eyes at them all and flipped Shane the bird. c’mon Mace I was just playing around with you, you know I love you I’d never kill you unless I get paid to and he started laughing again. My eyes widened at his statement and I jumped on him, hitting him. ouch Mace I was kidding get off of me you weigh a ton!’ He said and Avery butted in Damn I know the feeling that girl is made out of bricks" I shot her a glare and she invisibly zipped her lips up and threw the key away. Hannah and Austin were now in tears and Samuel was hiding in the crook of Avery’s neck laughing as well.

No fair you’ll made it a PICK ON MACEY DAY im going home! I hope you’ll suffer at practice today, Good bye! I said annoyed and then stormed of to my car, I needed a hot shower and a distraction. I ignored all of them as they called out to me, that’s what you get for making me mad I thought to myself and headed home.

The rest of the day flew by, I decided to check my phone because I had ignored the group since I left from school. Oh Shit! I forgot about Nate he is going to be so mad at me!! Meet Nate short for Nathaniel hale, My ex best friends ex boyfriend and also my BOY BEST FRIEND!! You must be wondering how that happened. Well funny story actually, we started talking, got close and even after my ex best friend and him broke up we were still super close.

Going through my texts I decided to reply to everyone.

Shaney: Don’t ignore me please!!

Shaney: Mace please I’m sorry.

Shaney: I have to go now coach is calling for me but please don’t be mad at me! I love you.

Me: It’s okay don’t worry about it! I love you to.

Avery: Macey I’m sorry c’mon you can’t be mad at me 1212 I miss you and I promise next time I’ll make up for it. I’ll buy you your favourite ice cream, cookies and cream.

Me: You know I cant be mad at you when you bring ice cream into the picture 28181.png Miss you to Aves!

Just as I was about to message Nate, his name popped up showing I have a message from him.

Nate: Hey I missed you today! how was your first day of senior year?

Me: Me: I missed you to! It wasn’t bad at all until Shane scared me then everyone laughed at me! Nonetheless it was a great start to my senior year. How was your day?

Nate: Ha-ha omw that must have been hilarious, im pretty sure you jumped and scram like a girl! I wish I was there to see your face 28202.png Lol you kept me up till 3 this morning with your horrible singing, I couldn’t get up!! I fell asleep in most of my classes thanks to you!
