Marion Keane was born in Dirranbandi, Queensland, Australia in 1940. She was the fourth of eight siblings. At twenty years of age, she entered a Religious Order. After sixteen years, she was advised to obtain leave of absence. She subsequently obtained a release from the perpetual vows she had made. She later married. Her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease eight years after they were married and she cared for him for nearly twenty years until he died.
