I’ve always been a daddy’s girl. Even as a toddler I’d run straight into his arms as soon as he set foot in the house. But I never knew my ‘real’ dad.
At 18 months old, I was placed in foster care with David and Diane Hetherington. My birth mother was a single mum who suffered from MS (multiple sclerosis), and the debilitating condition meant she was unable to look after me by herself.
