About this ebook

The piece that you are reading now has been the most difficult piece I have written in the whole book. Having to write about the author when the author is yourself without sounding pretentious- quite frankly does not suit me.

What we have here is a collection of words that form what I would like to be perceived as poems. Most of which have been inspired by family and friends in the past and present, above and below ground. There will appear to be a certain darkness in my words, but hidden amongst the rubble you may find some beauty.

I leave that to you the reader, you may form your own opinion

Please enjoy, Amen

    White Witch

I’ve a mountain with a view to climb.

But it’s just a hill when you appear.

For you dance barefoot through my darkest dreams,

And you blow away the nightmares.

I’m the smallest of the acorns,

Till your presence stalks the autumn loams.

And with your magic sleight of hand,

There stands an oak that you have groomed and combed.

Your name is on my frozen breath,

As through the winter blooms we sweep.

Your shape it hides amongst the clouds,

As I block the sun to peep.

    You take the hardest winter,

And with your wand, you carve a spring.

And when I’m grounded and cannot fly,

    You heal the broken wings.

    The silhouette excites me

When our footsteps dance as light as ghosts in perfect time.

And if romance finds itself against the law,

We won’t hesitate; we’ll just commit the perfect crime.

    You’re all the seven wonders,

    For you metamorphosize.

You’re in all corners of the earth

And all four elements before my eyes.

    You tilt your head

And wink one big, brown eye.

And all the satellites and stars I have ever known

    Crazy up and just collide.

You’re the fire in the belly

When I need to find the strength and will.

And when there’s stuff going on and nothing fits,

Your purpose seems to be purely medicinal.

    Courage is invented

When the two of us lie side by side as one.

And sense and sensibility take a stride away,

    And all
