About this ebook

This is my opinion and it is a valid opion.

Parkinsons disease is a potentially fatal disease.

The treatment is not keeping up with the research and If you would care to take a look at us and talk to us you will see:

We are all ages and backgrounds and we are not just a bunch of oldies that shake. We are warriors of PD and we face the many and varied challenges of PD everyday.

I hope that you enjoyed the poems

Margaret Chorley

Hi, I am Margaret Chorley, I was born in Sheffield in 1945 9th child of 10. My father fought in Dun Kirk and by the time I was born he was too ill to keep a job for long , which meant a lot of poverty was experienced. This is the background that has made me strong and I like to use my strength to engage in challenges that are worthwhile and beneficial to people who are in vulnerable positions. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 70 and I have taken on the role of eye opening. My new family of Parkies ( a fond nick name used ) disacribe ourselves as warriors of PD , we do not like to be seen as victims of PD Please read the poems and enjoy and please feel free to contact me with any question or comments: parkiebooks@outlook .com

    INTRODUCTION

In this poetry book I have tried to declare with honesty some of my feelings about this horrible Disease named Parkinson's Disease and incorporate the thoughts and feeling of my friends.

This Disease has been identified and named for 200yrs and we are still suffering from it.

The medication for this disease is designed to help with the aches and pains and hopefully make the sufferer more comfortable while continuing to lose more and more brain cells

The medication DOES NOT reverse the condition, regenerate the brain cells or
