    Author JP LaRue grew up in the Lake Country of northern Minnesota and was a avid fisherman and outdoorsman. His life changed dramatically when he went into a near fatal coma at age 17 after an asthma attack. LaRue has worked to overcome blindness and physical disabilities to become an author, inventor and poet. He writes with Morse code using a switch he designed.
