Tina was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, where she became the mother of three children. She later left and joined the US Army, where she met and married her husband, Terry Silvers, twenty-three years ago. She has a bachelors degree in sociology. She now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and mother. She has stated on many occasions that she wants to encourage others to pursue their dream no matter what they lack in experience.
