About this ebook
Kenneth Heath Chavis
My name is Kenneth Heath Chavis and I’m 39 years old. I live in Laurinburg, N.C. I was born and raised in the small town of Bladenboro, N.C. I have a beautiful wife Misty Chavis and four wonderful kids Austin, Faith, Tony and Zach. I have been writing for about 15 years and plan to write more books in the future. I have done too many occupations to go through them all but I now work as a Maintenance Worker. I’m looking forward to see how successful this book becomes and I hope everyone that buys it enjoys it as much as I did writing it. The moral of this story for me was to let people know that life is too short and don’t take a great thing for granted because one day it may be gone. Love life, enjoy life while you can. Spend time with your family and close friends. Most importantly love God because if not for him nothing would be possible.

THANK YOU
G OD - FIRST AND foremost I would like to thank you Lord for giving me life, my wife and my children. I want to thank you for giving me the gift to write so this book could be possible. Thank you Lord for all the blessings you have given to me and my family. You are number one in my life.
AUSTIN & FAITH- I love the both of you more than life itself. You both are the true joys in my life. My heart and soul rest with the both of you. God gave me the two greatest gifts’ when he helped me create the both of you. I never knew what love to die for
meant until the two of you came into my life and now that you are here I would fight the entire world for you. LOVE THE BOTH OF YOU TO THE END OF THE UNIVERSE.
TO MY WIFE MISTY- For so long I prayed for God to bring me the love of my life. Many times, along the way I felt as if I would never find that one true love that I was searching for. Then in the oddest of places and at the perfect time in my life here you came, like an Angel from heaven. You are my soulmate, the love of my life. God blessed me by putting you as the perfect piece to my life’s puzzle. I Love You with everything inside of me and I’m so proud to be able to call you my wife. I Love You my Lil’ June bug.
Tony & Zack- I know I wasn’t always in your lives and even though I didn’t create you, I still see the both of you as my kids. I love the both of you and I will always be there for you.
MOM- God decided that I should be blessed by giving me the greatest Mother that anyone could ever ask for. You are the main reason that I became the man that I have become, I want to say thanks for always being there for me. It didn’t matter the situation that came up in my life, you were always there to pick me up. I Love You.
DAD- Thank You for showing me the ropes of becoming a man. You have always been the man that I looked up to and wanted to equal the success that you had. Now, as a grown man, I have had great success with most things I have done. I hope that you can stand back and be proud of me. It’s because of you that I have succeeded. I Love You.
BIG JOHN- They say brothers should be close and to say that we are close is an understatement. We spent years together growing up and then became roommates after leaving home. We partied together, went to clubs together, went on the road to work together and former were business partners. You know if you ever need me just call me, Love Ya’ Bro.
To my half brother and sister Kevin and Ashley- There was a long time in our lives that we were apart. Many days passed with you both on my mind. Wished things could have been different and we could have grown up together but we are together now. Love you both.

You will certainly meet some of the hardest working people in the world. This is a beautiful part of the country where the grass is bright green and the fields flourish with crops.
One thing is for sure if you hang around long enough with the residents of Austinville you will experience one thing without question, Gossip. You will find out very quickly that everyone one knows everyone else. You will hear everything about everybody in town.
People who lived all their lives in the area and left after graduating high school and then went on to achieved great success are the talk of the town. In Austinville, that’s exactly what Joe Westfault is to the residents the talk of the town.
Born and raised in Austinville Joe became notorious early in high school as a star football player. In the classroom, he excelled as well where he made straight A’s, exceeding in the field of computer technology.
He was one of the most popular people in high school even though he wasn’t a very attractive man. His personality was so that great people wanted to be around him all the time. He was the life of the party and was always asked to join clubs in school and after school get togethers with other students.
Not only was he the president of every elective class in high school that he was in, but he was also class president. Offered many academic and athletic scholarships, he had tough decisions to make on where he wanted to go to further his education but also attend a school with a great football prestige as well. When all was said and done, he stayed in his home state and choose North Carolina.
There was no question that North Carolina sold him academically but being able to be a running back with an ACC college football team was the icing on the cake. Joe was very athletic and fast, just over 6 feet tall and two hundred and twenty pounds. He had the talent to become a great college football player and possibly an NFL draft pick.
When he got on campus he excelled in the classroom and the football field just as he did in high school. He took over the starting running back spot by mid-season and had top honors in the classroom.
Everything was looking great for him until he reached his junior year when his coach called him into his office. He had Joe to sit down and explained to him that his parents had passed away in a car accident.
Joe took the news hard because he was close to both his mom and dad and now felt he was all alone. He had no sibling to share in the grief of his parent’s death. He turned to alcohol and began a downward spiral. First, he lost his starting job on the football team and then his grades began to slip badly. Professors tried to get him some help but he wasn’t ready to change. Being intoxicated all the time eased the pain and changing that wasn’t an option for him.
One day he was in his dorm room and there is a knock on his door. He dragged himself to the door and as he opened it he realized it was his best friend since elementary school, Alex Reed. Alex jumps all over his case and takes him to rehab to get him help.
After a couple of months, he comes out of rehab clean and sober, thanks to Alex. He gets back into class and takes over where he left off; making honors once again while winning the hearts of the coaching staff. When his senior season started he was the top running back once again.
In his senior year he was playing the second to last game of the season. He took a handoff, running up the middle when he was tackled. As he was falling, he fell awkwardly and blew his knee out. Before the injury, he was projected to be drafted in the third or fourth round and now his career was over before it started.
As he was finishing out his final year of college, he was very disappointed about losing his chance to play in the NFL. Rather than just give up, he started putting all his effort into his academic major and second passion, computers and computer technology.
While tinkering around one day he came up with a great idea. He invented a micro-chip that made computer technology much more advanced and improved. In fact, it was so advanced that the military wanted to take a look at it and see if it was useful to them. One month later he signed a contract to make more of the chips for the military to use, (but it was only taking part of his work time to make these chips.) The deal made him an instant multi-millionaire.
He took the money and built his own company WCTI (Westfault Computer Technology Incorporation) to start making them full time. The military never told Joe what they were using the chips for, but they sure didn’t tell him he couldn’t sell the chips to the public, so he did. The public was using them for a much different purpose than what the military was using them for. In the end, Joe was worth hundreds of millions of dollars and growing at a rapid pace.
Joe was a big community supporter of small businesses and donated lots of money to charities, local schools and students. He had a program where he spec-built two and three bedroom homes and donated then to needy families.
A very outgoing guy was Joe with a very big heart. To anyone’s knowledge Joe never had an enemy in his life, he was loved by pretty much everyone. He was a town hero to most and looked up by everyone. So positive and always doing something good no matter how much it would set him back.
But the weird thing was he wasn’t famous for becoming a millionaire or being such a great success. He was most famous because he was the only thirty-something
