Savannah Leigh

My name is Savannah Leigh Smith; I am a granddaughter, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, and most importantly a child of God. I love spending time with my family, especially my brother and parents. I live in the beautiful state of Alabama. I am in my early twenties, working towards graduating before I am twenty-three with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, focused on international business from Liberty University Online. I have been attending our home church called Temple Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama for 10 years where God has blessed me above and beyond my imagination. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 (King James Version) states, “But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.” March 16, 2008, God showed me my need for Him as my Savior; there was nothing I could do to save myself from my sinful nature, with my heart beating fast and a feeling like no other I knew what I needed to do. I accepted Christ as my one and only Savior. Since then, Christ has lived inside of me and I have never been the same.

    Limitless - Savannah Leigh

    DAY 1

    Proverbs 17:22 (King James Version)

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Many of us have heard the saying, Laughter is good for the soul. Well, I totally agree. Laughter makes us believe that the world really isn’t as terrible as some would suggest it to be. There is nothing that can compare to uncontrollable laughter, tears running down your face, and your sides hurting. True laughter… I have a problem; I laugh at the most inappropriate times. Like when someone is sharing something very personal about themselves, I laugh. Yes, I sound like a terrible person. No, I am not one, but it totally helps lighten the conversation.

At times, you will be reading this book and God will touch your heart in a way that you will feel vulnerable. In that moment, you have a choice. You can choose to shut the door to your heart, mind, and soul and not let God change you the way He sees fit, or to allow Him to move freely. It will be tempting to close that door, hold fast to your ways, and not allow the Lord to change you. It will be very difficult at times to overcome some of the things you may be in bondage to; remember that God loves you in the most intimate way, unconditionally. Matthew 7:21-23 talks about how the only thing that will matter in the end will be our relationship with Christ and not everyone will enter into the kingdom of heaven. Romans 8:38-39 tells us that clearly, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Proverbs 17:22 is intentional about having a cheerful heart and what better way to be cheerful than to laugh and smile for Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, remember to take delight in the Lord’s sovereignty and enjoy laughter, because one day soon we (people who are born again, Romans 10:9-10) will join our Heavenly Father!

    DAY 2

    Exodus 3:14 (KJV)

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

I can guarantee you any human being you ever meet will never live up to the expectations you have made for them. You know what that means? It means you’ll be facing disappointment, frustration, and hurt. If we are being honest, people are humans and all humans are sinners (Romans 3:23).

Psalm 51:5 says we were all BORN into sin. No one taught us how to sin; it’s in our nature. So, why do we put so much faith in humans? Why do we hold people to such high standards when we don’t even expect that from ourselves? What if we stopped putting people on a pedestal, giving them expectations they will never be able to reach, and judging them when they inevitably fail?

What if we started loving people the way God calls us to? Let me tell you, my friend, there is one person who will NEVER let you down. There is one person in whom you can place complete faith and be completely satisfied. He is the great I Am. He is stable and trustworthy – He is unchanging. I think it’s time we all take off our halos and start looking at our life against the Bible’s principles. When we do this, we will see that Christ is the only person who will never disappoint us, who will never hurt us, and who will never fail us. He works everything for our good (Romans 8:28) and works everything according to His will and time. So my friend, let’s turn to the great I AM today. Once we turn to Him, we will see how much grace and mercy He has shown us.

    DAY 3

    Psalm 69:13 (KJV)

But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Have you ever been hopeless? Feeling as if there was nothing left for you to do? You are most definitely not alone. David faced a lot of problems, and at the point in time of this scripture, he seemed hopeless. He was beaten down, rejected, criticized, humiliated and many other things; however, he never did stop praying.

    In this verse, David
