About this ebook

Luck is an illusion. Mindset is Everything demonstrates the fact that your mind matters in goal achievement. Firstly, you need a target to aim for. Secondly, you need a game plan that will lead you in the direction of your target. Lastly, you need to be able to follow through with your game plan to be able to hit your target. This book is your guide to unlimited fulfillment. Whether youre a tortoise or a hare, this book will get you there!

This book will use real life practical solutions that demonstrate how to persevere in times when you are discouraged or when things dont go according to the game plan. Life is complicated and will present challenges that you need to be able to adapt to. Inevitably, in taking control of your mindset which is internal, you can control what happens externally in the environment presented to you.

What Ive discovered through my ongoing research in personal development is that most people because of no target to aim for are uncertain towards what they truly want from their life. Essentially, when an incentive is high enough to hit a target, we will find a way to do so. This disproving the myth that luck is real.

PROLOGUE

Stepping Onto the

Battlefield Called Life

If you can’t comprehend something within your conscious realm of thought, how can you ever expect it to become a reality in the physical material world?

I have made it part of my life’s journey to discover some of the most efficient techniques in helping everyday people reach a level of mastery within their lives. Something like what Napoleon Hill did except with my own creativity and originality. I am driven by witnessing the breakthroughs of everyday life, watching people cross over into the deep waters of a further understanding of not only themselves, but the nature of our everyday world.

Pain is always going to be prevalent within our world and this is why I have made it my obligation to help people see light where there is darkness. To allow people to be able to rise above the everyday animosity and negotiate peace with those who try to reign terror. Imagine what could be accomplished if we all came together for the greater good. Imagine rather than fighting against conflicting values, that we searched for a more progressive solution. Imagine spending money on things worth more value, rather than lottery tickets or another gamble.

Rather than believing there is no answer and following the metaphor that this is just the way things are, I believe it’s time to switch our protocol. It’s time to start realizing that we are all people no different in that we all want to thrive and have an equal chance to rise within our lives. We all want to have a feeling of appreciation.

What I have discovered in my vast research within the field of personal development is that constant repetition is the continual growth of whatever it is you desire within this lifetime. In order to reach mastery, in order to gain iconic status, you need to repeat and repeat again. After writing my first book Life is Motivation I had a significant amount of time to reflect, and to reminisce on the foundation I built for my future. Something I thought I couldn’t do became a reality—it became real. I still remember releasing my book—even when they first arrived at my doorstep, it was almost as if it was all fiction.

I didn’t know what to feel, or what to say really. It has been a continual learning process within my life—a continual journey that is leading me down a road to never ending fulfilment. I watch so many lives around me make small things seem as if they can be felt on a larger scale, when the true focus is that things only seem big until you conquer the mountain; until you unleash that desire that burns deep within you.

As human beings we have a substantial power that thrives within us. A power that is waiting to be unleashed, however, as people life breaks us down and tries to kill our imagination through the forms of perception which we call reality. This continual process that breaks people down, is the same process that enables people to reach greatness. This same process fires people up and allows them to truly let go. When an incentive is high enough to achieve a task, we will find a way to complete it. You don’t know how many times I’ve had someone tell me they have given it everything when completing a task, to then give it the extra mile when one of their idols was in front of them, or more money was offered, etc.

Life is contradictory, it’s ambiguous, it’s absurd, but life is magnificent… Every single day we as people have a chance to create ourselves, and to design whatever it is we want within this materialistic society. Fear, doubt, and uncertainty, are the variables that kill our human spirit. Fear is such a loaded term that it manipulates our decision making. It controls our thought process and destroys some of the most valuable ideas we want to use within this world.

Today’s world is filled with over seven billion lives breathing and moving forward every day. Depending on the type of person you are, you will either say to yourself well there are too many problems or you will say all I see is opportunities. The crazy part of the world we live in today is the fact that internally we’re in control. We have an ability, a power, which is decision making. The ability to take unrelenting action—to step outside our comfort zone, and attack whatever it is that haunts us.

We all have problems and baggage, it’s just how much. How much can we take before we give up and surrender to what we are unable to control. Consistently within the principles of the law we see problems with witness statements due to the fact that we all perceive and see the world differently. We all have a different lens to witness the beauty that is constantly taking place in front of our eyes.

I want you to ask yourself, what are your expectations in this world? What do you expect from people, let alone yourself? Are you happy with what you have done up to this point in your life? ARE YOU IN CONTROL? This book is going to work as a tool to allow you to unlock what is already burning within you. When I say the word banana, did you not just picture your idea of a banana within your mind? Doesn’t that show you that you’re in control of your mind? You can manipulate your thinking the same way I did with a random word or idea.

This power all becomes real when you start believing in yourself, by letting go of what people tell you and firing back with results. This book is going to discuss various psychological ideas—some from the respected giants in their fields and others I have designed such as Mindset Psychology. This book is going to look at conditioning and state enhancement—essentially how to reach peak performance and view any situation from a positive lens. Its premise is designed in building the most proficient mindset to tackle any problem thrown in front of you. By doing this you will develop what I call a self-sustaining platform to help everyday people, including yourself.

This book is a sequel to my first book Life is Motivation—the only difference being this book is more refined, and more power filled. It’s an expansion if you will, of the already thought out ideas I have discussed. Except this book isn’t about motivation, it’s about mindset, taking control of what truly is yours. So if you will open up your mind and get ready to ride the lighting, your time is now.

CHAPTER ONE

The Burning Desire Directed Like a Fire

A nalyzing the reality of today’s perceived world, we need to understand that as Tony Robbins says, our decisions shape our destiny. It’s through our constant action—constant repetition, in which we take control of our lives, and allow ourselves to design our future. Too many live with pain, and too many live with struggle. As people we need to ask ourselves how we can better help our counterparts. When we choose to differ from the status quo, when we choose to put it all on the line and stop thinking of just ourselves, then we are able to realize our capabilities—our power as mortals to help transform the lives of our brothers and sisters.

As people, we’re so conceded within our own narcissistic realms of thought—our consciousness, which dreams up what would be better for our selves but not everyone as a whole. I am not a socialist nor a dreamer; I am a visionary, and a messenger of the truth. As Martin Luther King Jr said I have a dream. Well my friends, I envision a reality where one day we walk together as a society, rather than spread so far apart. Why is it only through times of tragedy, like when a catastrophe hits a massive landscape that we as people help one another? This book is here to point out that we don’t have to be put into these drastic situations to make this happen. We can just do it out of the genuine care of our hearts.

The question lies not in what has to be done, but in where do we start? It seems that no matter where you go, grocery stores, and checkout stands, that someone is looking for a donation—a handout. As Alexander Graham Bell stated the sun’s rays do not burn until brought into focus. This is where some of the world’s major problems have arisen. Too many handouts with no recourse or no long terms strategy to reach an everlasting solution. We’re putting are eggs in too many baskets, creating a sense of entitlement. What this means is that we’ve become desensitized to the true nature of what it takes to help someone. It’s through this constant bombardment from the media that we don’t know which direction to turn, where to go, and what to believe anymore. We’re digging a bunch of random holes rather than focusing on one promising cause! Our basic survival needs as human beings are: food, water, and shelter. Anything more than this is mere secondary on the scale of grander goals.

You’re probably wondering, how we’re going to build something that is bigger than just this idea of hope? It’s all done through the power of influence, which is one of the strongest forces which prevails itself on this earth in my opinion. This force of influence has the ability to take ideas and allow them to reach massive audiences or create destruction to those who use it inappropriately. Due to globalization we’re connected with people from all around the world. However, if we are so connected, why does it feel as though not enough has been done? Once again because we’re aiming in to many directions. Like Zig Ziglar (motivational speaker) states, if you don’t have any target to hit then where are you aiming?

Our world may be moving forth into an interconnected era, yet why does it seem as if people are losing a sense of being as a whole. Why are people so disconnected? It almost seems that anywhere we go, people are connected to their phones, or some sort of digital device. It’s almost like an addiction waking up in the morning and checking Facebook or other social media networks. Yet, in this day and age we see a continual ability—a capacity, to spread a message across the lands of the world and into the lives of people we don’t even know. To be able to influence someone else’s life is an exceptionally powerful thing.

YouTube has taken video streaming to a whole other level, where people can get famous with a single video, whereas others it’s gradual and a time commitment. Videos with little merit are broadcast to massive audiences, while educational productions run shy of a few views. We as people harness so much power within our palms that we can almost put ourselves in awe at what is bestowed in front of our eyes. The question lies in this: with so much power placed within our hands, is it being used effectively or to its full ability? I would argue that it’s not!

My reasoning for this is that even though we live in an interconnected era which is globalized, what has happened is that we have lost some of the most important aspects of our lives which is social interaction; communication with one another, in exchange for reading text which is ambiguous. Instead of taking the time to advance our lives through the knowledge in front of us, some of us like to waste it playing mindless games, invest it in endless hours of social media time, and this is besides the fact that some will complain about why they do not have a better life. I’ve studied the phenomena of how students face uncertainty when leaving post graduate education and how it’s a difficult decision in where they should take their lives.

In the era we live in today, everyone is impatient and seeks instant gratification. This is due to the progressive speed of today’s world being able to get information in an instant. It almost feels like an hour waiting ten seconds for our computer’s to load. What comes with this is a depreciation effect of what we have because we don’t understand the power of actually earning something. We want it now because we are constantly bombarded with advertisements and ‘the next big thing."

The direction this book is headed in is an enlightening one; a message which inspires growth, and a realization of the power that is burning within each and every one of our lives—our human spirit. I just want to get you, the reader to try and take a step back in history and imagine how crazy it would have been to have some of the technology we have today. Not having to spend endless hours looking for information, or having to find someone qualified to speak on behalf of specific criteria.

We have the ability within seconds to learn about topics that can span from history all the way through to the sciences, whereas, in our past lives we couldn’t have even dreamt or imagined this ability without a consistent effort. My point here is that within this fast paced world, we’re being enabled to better our lives—to use this information if we choose to enhance our knowledge of the world, bettering ourselves—or merely waste it.

We can practically watch lessons from the best schools in the world online, and hear what some of the greatest minds this world has to offer have to say about the such and such of everyday life. It’s almost mind blowing, the world we have sitting in front of us—it’s truly magnificent, and a thing of beauty. Yet some of us due to our past circumstances, choose not to grow and aspire to our full capabilities. The point being is that if you want something bad enough you will find a way to obtain it. On the other side, if you don’t want it bad enough you’ll find an excuse.
