Introduction

C ontrary to what the world may try and tell you, living the pure life does NOT make you a loser, a nerd, or undesirable. As you will see when you read the stories of real people in this book, living the pure life is what makes their lives better, what gives them unspeakable joy, and what results in wonderful relationships. Many kids today start with a goal of maintaining their purity until marriage. Most parents encourage their kids to wait. There are already many books and Bible studies on living the pure life. But, society and peer pressure, the media, TV, music, clothing styles, hanging out instead of dating, drugs and alcohol, all get in the way. This book is going to show you how you can stay true to your goals of having great relationships, feeling good about yourself, being guided by God and living pure.

It IS possible to date and wait, to be pure and popular, to have that dream wedding and wonderful marriage. Yes, that great marriage with great sex, as God intended for His children.

As you read the stories you will relate to many of the pressures and temptations they all faced. The How-To’s sections will give you immediately usable tools to navigate through growing up, interacting with the opposite sex, dating, staying true to yourself, knowing who you are in Christ, having great friendships and relationships, while living the pure life. The activities that follow will help you put the How-To’s to work in your life and relationships. This book is to educate, equip and empower you through personal testimonies, new knowledge and skills, and practice, to have a better chance of developing healthy, fulfilling, committed relationships that honor God by being abstinent until marriage.

If you are reading this book and you are not a virgin, no worries. The following prayer will renew your virginity and help you start over with the support you need to abstain from sex, practice purity, and form the relationships God has planned for you.

Prayer of Renewed Virginity

Dear God, Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me for having sex outside of marriage. Please renew my body, mind, and spirit to the pure state in which You wonderfully and fearfully made me. Thank You for this fresh start. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may live a pure life. I have faith in the plans You have for me. I have faith that good relationships and love are part of Your plan for my life. Help me to live the way You want me to. Help the teaching of this book to reflect the truth of Your word and support my ability to abstain from sex, live in purity, and follow Your plan for my life. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
