The Angel responded....

To truly discover the fullness of love, you must go deeper within and look to experience the selfless qualities of love. Look to remove your need for its return, and it will come back to you in abundance. To experience the greater joys of the Fathers love, you must freely bestow it upon your fellows. Freely you have received, freely shall you give. Love is abundantly replaced in the heart which gives it forth freely.

Much of your journey to peace and joy and to God starts with learning to love yourself. You must first forgive yourself and know that those above you have already done so. You are loved with an eternal and supreme affection by those above you. Every child is infinitely and compassionately cared for from above, so much so, that if you truly knew of its fullness, you would be prone to lose all motor functioning and collapse in tears of joy.

The Father hears the cry of all His children, and He resplendently responds to the faintest flicker of faith in the deepest depths of a lost and lonely childs soul. Upon the sincere cry of a confused child compassionately comes the Creator of all creation to meet you right where you are. Open your heart and soul to Him and let in His glorious ways.

The Father you have many names for, but His Son, who walked this world as Jesus of Nazareth, has more unseen loyal faithfuls than the human mind has the capacity to comprehend, serving Him in ways a finite and mortal mind can yet begin to grasp.

Other than the manifold gravitational sources of Spirit synchrony, alongside a vast and widespread congregation of faithful guides and Spirit personalities, you have all of usyour Seraphic Guardians.

Author biography I, the author, Michael D. Barrett, wish to express appreciation rather than speak of myself. This book isn’t about me and has nothing to do with me. I prefer to take this space to express my gratitude. First, I would like to thank the Good Lord and forever will, each and every day, for the path He has lead me on both before this experience and after. My heartfelt appreciation then goes to my son, who not only saved my life from a long, dark road through ten years of limited to moderate success as a bit actor in Hollywood, but is and always has been the most loving, wonderful child I could ever ask for. I was the founder and president of two companies (Kid Positive Inc.—a retail developmental toy store for children zero to eight years of age and Forty Shades of Green LLC.—a small real estate investment firm), but I can firmly state the most cherished accomplishment in my life is the raising of my now fourteen-year-old son as a single parent since he was an infant. INTRODUCTION

I feel compelled to share a few thoughts about the following experience, wherein I was allowed to ask questions to an angel in a dream. As is somewhat typical of dreams, some of the conveyed sentiments were more of a feeling than they were actual words spoken. My angelic friend in this particular dream shared many insights I simply do not have the words to express entirely. I will do my best to share the way our dialogue transpired, but I know I will fall short of expressing accurately all that was intimated to me during this brief dialogue. One thing for certain is during this dream, it felt like I came to know Jesus like never before and have enjoyed a greater understanding of the Lord’s love for all of us ever since.

When the dream was over, I started writing down what I could recall and the parts of the dream that came easily to memory. I wrote about the latter half of the dream first because it came to mind first. Over the next several days, I wrote notes wherever I was, as memories of the dream came to me, and I remembered more of the beginning of the dream over time. I do believe that in the recollection of what took place, I had some type of help from Above or Within. For days and weeks following the dream, more and more of it came to mind, coupled with an inner assurance likened to the feelings I felt in the dream while the angel spoke to me. As close to what I could remember, I then put these memories together in the order they transpired.

Some insights were more of a feeling, a mini-revelation of some type, or a little epiphany I felt deep inside while the angel spoke so many wonderful words to me of Jesus’ love for all of us and how to find peace and joy in this life. My hope is to convey the feelings that coincided with the dialogue, but I am very much limited by words. If you seek the deeper messages behind the words, perhaps you will understand even more than I do what is of value within them and absolutely priceless within you.

The angel’s dialogue was so eloquent and harmonious that my recalling and recital of it could hardly give it due justice. The following writing is a meager attempt to share the feelings I experienced along with my recollection of the angel’s words of wisdom, in the hopes of sharing with you the love of Jesus and His way to lasting joy and inner peace as it was shared with me by a loving angel.

May the angel’s message touch your soul with His love, peace, and joy as mine was touched one night not long ago. May the Father and the Son bless each and every one of you. May your faith in God the Father and His Son Jesus, along with your love for His children, forever grow.

We are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)

Twenty Minutes with an Angel

The following dialogue was inspired during what I guess could be considered a pretty neat dream. It was the middle of the night, and it seemed as though I was wide awake. In my dream, I imagined I was having a dream, but in it I awoke to see an Angel standing there next to me, and we talked for a while. When the dream ended, I had a strong desire to write it down. So I did, as best I could remember. Thanks to the urging of a very close friend, I have been convinced to share it.

This short dream, or few moments of clarity, may have been nothing more than a personal wake-up call. I have to consider the possibility that it really was some sort of an angelic inspiration in the organization of my thoughts. Maybe, maybe not. I’m not entirely sure about what happened. There is only one thing I do know: my whole life has changed in an indescribable way.

Now a sense of absolute security and utter joy has come into my heart; one I just don’t have the words to explain. And peace has taken on an entirely new meaning, again beyond my ability to express. To help others know and enjoy this peace is my only wish in sharing this extremely unique experience. Since this encounter, I have found a fulfillment within my heart like never before and have finally discovered a feeling of true and lasting soul satisfaction. A sensation I never fully realized I have been searching my whole life for.

Despite growing up in an Irish Catholic family, though I believed as a child in God, He was never really a priority for me. I left my home in New England at seventeen and headed to southern California to pursue my misled and material dreams and for the most part, left God there too. My personal path to peace has taken me to many lonely places, down some very dark roads, even far away from God for long periods of time. Every time success (or any amount of peace) was on my doorstep, I sabotaged it through my own doing. Today I can only assume and fully believe in my heart that His abounding grace brought me back to Him.

I will now attempt to write a transcript of this dream in hopes to share all of what I do remember of this insightful dialogue in, as close as possible, the order that it happened. I am at this moment, trusting in some proposed help from above and within. Though it seemed like hours, it was evidently just over twenty minutes. Last I remember seeing the clock, it was 1 AM, and it was 1:24 when I awoke again. Another thing I recall about the dream was the childlike attitude I had while talking to the angel. At times it felt like I took on the innocence or ignorance of a teenager; other times it was more like enjoying the freedom of a toddler.

I remember the time we finished because my only child, Mikey, now fourteen, whom I love so dearly and have been raising myself due to his beloved and beautiful mother falling ill when he was just four months old, was born on the twenty-fourth. And I always remember to be grateful whenever I see that time or number. But was that part of the dream? I’m not sure, it sure seemed like a lot of dialogue for just over twenty minutes of talking, but I know that is usually typical in dreams, only this dream wasn’t scattered or fragmented like they usually are.

In my dream, I was sleeping and I awoke from a dream, and it all began. It started off as I found myself taking a ride on some sort of Spirit wave, very much like a wave in the ocean except this wave was almost invisible. The wave gently but quickly carried me high up into the sky, well past the clouds, to a place that surrounded me with beautiful landscapes. There were mountains, streams, and waterfalls of colors I had never seen before. As it gradually disappeared beneath my feet, I came to a slow stop. There I found what felt like a very close, comforting, and long-lost friend standing right next to me.

The dialogue between us began as I got off this Spirit wave and saw standing next to me a not-so-imaginary friend in the form of a comforting figure so beautiful that it just seemed purely angelic. After a long moment of apprehension, I managed to say:

Who are you?

Just one of many dear friends watching over you.

Where am I?

In a realm of clarity.

Are you real, or is this just a dream?

Just as all things shall eventually become One, you will come to know this as a very real dream.

So I am just dreaming?

That is of little importance, my cherished friend. What is of value is we clarify some thoughts, and I answer some questions you have been asking. Now is your chance. Is there something you would like to ask me?

Well, yes. I gasped. I just couldn’t come up with anything. It seemed like it took me forever to think of a good question. The only thing that came to mind was:

Why are you in my dream?

To share the love of the Father and further you along your journey into reality. The seeking soul always finds. You have been seeking and so now shall you have your questions answered clearly.

What questions?

The questions you have been asking, some recently, others your whole life. You may, here and now, ask whatsoever is on your mind, or more importantly in your heart. As long as it is not harmful to your future, if it does not endanger your personality or impede the evolution of your soul, I have permission to answer accordingly.

How could you harm my future or impede my soul?

Your future would be in jeopardy if you knew it. Your soul, I could not harm, nor would I. However, too much information or knowledge of the future could prove harmful to your character and would greatly delay the evolution of your soul. The foreknowledge of certain inevitabilities could and would hinder the potential progress of a soul and tardy the developing character of a beloved child.

How so?

Each of the Father’s maturing children must acquire certain character qualities, wisdom being one of them, for themselves, in themselves, and of themselves.

Wisdom is not something that may be attained or achieved, bought or borrowed, lent or laid hold of, in any other way than personally. Wisdom must be attained by each seeker through personal experience of the truth, through the Spirit perception of God, through the honest realization of one’s spiritual origin and destiny, and through the soul’s espousal of God’s divine values.

Man can never truly come to eternal wisdom without the inclusion of Final Reality.

What is Final Reality?

As far as your able to perceive it is the Truth, the cosmic comprehension of and personality identification with the divine meanings and spiritual values of eternity. The discovery of Final Reality is your path to Spirit perfection, your journey to God the Father through His Son. Your path from the finite to the infinite, from time and space to eternity. Man can never successfully transcend his own selfish nature nor can he truly solve the perplexing problems of living in a material world without the comprehension of and meditation on God, the absolute and ultimate Final Reality.

The materialist that attempts final conclusions without God eventually comes to find he has missed the greater reality and delayed his own soul’s progress. Know, even truth, when given to you by another in word, still must be experienced by you in life. All real truth is living truth. Only in actual experience can truth be genuinely known in your soul and personalized into your evolving character and henceforth be counted as a quality of your personality.

How do I do that?

Through your honest efforts of seeking the eternal truth in, and of, the greater realities concerning your being. Through sincerely seeking to discover the spiritual values and Divine meanings of the realm of time and space, the sphere which you now temporarily reside.

Truth and wisdom are always found by those who seek them with a whole heart. A whole-hearted devotion to truth, a sincere hunger for righteousness, lifts the lost and even the lowliest mortal being from the depths of isolation, loneliness, selfishness and intellectual anguish to the heights of fulfillment and the poise of real understanding; the peace and joy found only in the Holy Spirit of God.

It is as well through your desire for cosmic understanding and universal harmony, your unending thirst for perfection, that this peace and joy will come to you. Those who choose to seek with a whole heart the righteousness of God, enjoy an inner peace far above those of their contemporaries without such understanding of reality and the truth of their spiritual heritage.

I’m not sure how much understanding of reality I have! I know I don’t have any idea what you mean about cosmic understanding or universal harmony, or even spiritual heritage, but I would like to hear about it. Can you tell me about these things and especially how to get all that and the peace and joy you spoke of?

My cherished child, that is why I am here. Soul life begins with the child’s opening of their end of the Spirit connection to God, the very God who loves you most dearly and literally dwells within each of you. In faith, begin to trust more in eternal reality, life everlasting. Joyfully accept your Divine heritage as a child of the Creator of life, who is your heavenly Father.

This is not your only life; it is only your first life. Hence, the cause for much confusion. Allow the confusion to clarify into peace and joy in the reality of your being a true child of the Almighty Father.

You must come to forgive yourself, and you can do so now.

Thank you was all I could say, but a feeling of truly being forgiven came over me like I never felt before. I cried for a moment because of the feeling of finally being accepted for who I was no matter what mistakes I had made in the past or what silly and stupid things I had done before.

Know in the deepest reaches of your heart, the Heavenly Father understands you. And He understands all His earthly children in the same way.

He knows of the ways some of you are led off track and the reasons why. He knows the very rationale that some entertain as to why they don’t believe yet, and He knows precisely the causes that lead others to temporarily forsake Him. He even knows how and why some use the gift of mind to momentarily hate Him, yet He loves every single one of His children all the same. He extends only love and mercy while patiently waiting for each child to turn to Him and find Him for themselves. In this way, His will is never forced upon any child.

For such thoughts of discord would never enter a child’s mind if they knew the truth of who gave them life and the same Father’s love for them. Your Creator is all wise and knows all things. He, in this infinite wisdom and with everlasting love, has already forgiven you. Regardless of man’s slow and even retarded evolution in and of the comprehension of truth, He always has and forever will forgive all His earthly children. The Father is supremely rich in His mercy for all His children. Much like you.

What do you mean?

Would you expect your own newborn child to know the ways of the world by the time he or she was a week old?

Well no.

In universe years, at the end of this life, you are of similar age. A long life on earth is but a passing moment in eternity. The Father is eternal in His wisdom and infinite in His mercy. He completely and perfectly understands, with a boundless love, all your trials, all your incorrect conclusions, all your theological differences, of every heartache of every child is He aware. Trust in knowing, regardless of how difficult life may seem or be, everything will eventually work together for the good of your souls growth.

The Father knows all about His children’s erring ways. He is more than familiar with the decisions that bring upon His beloved children misery and pain. The inability to fully understand the erring and even hurtful ways of others is a finite handicap of the mortal mind; the Father is infinite and understands all things, especially His most cherished creation; His children. If you being human can understand the erring ways of your earthly children trust the Infinite Father can and fully does understand each of you, His finite children.

You may now find much rest in knowing without question, the Father fully forgives every single one of your missteps and miscalculations. His divine and perfect love for you overlooks all the choices that brought into your life anything less than more truth, more beauty, and more goodness.

Know now, at this very moment, in the deepest reaches of your heart, there is a divine purpose for all this struggle and His grace will suffice for all your shortcomings and all your misunderstandings.

In the outworking of time, His limitless love will absolutely absorb all malicious misconceptions made by a cherished child; His mercy will infinitely immerse all incorrect interpretations a beloved child may chance to make.

With the mere faith of a child, you may begin your personal journey into eternal reality, the progressive discovery of everlasting truth.

While earthly things must be seen in order to be believed, eternal and Divine things must be believed before they can be seen.

In order for your soul to mature in a healthy manner, provision must be made, and time must be given to spiritual as well as material goals. Seek to experience truth for yourself. Search, my dear and beloved friend, deep within yourself. Allow silence to become your friend, for only in silence can the still small voice of reason within you be heard.

When the mortal mind pursues the truth, it seeks for the Divinely real. Reality is Spirit; therefore, Divine truth is always known best by its spiritual flavor.

Let the very real Spirit within you be your true teacher and allow experience to confirm truth for you. Experience is the second greatest authority and the one by which you complement the First. Knowledge is a possession of the mind, truth is an experience of the soul, the progressing self. Truth must be experienced in order to be truly known.

God is confirmed in our experiences?

How else could He be? God is a personal revelation of truth within the experiencing soul of a faith child.

There is only one Absolute Authority, yet this same Authority, can only be truly known by you as it is felt in a personal spiritual experience.

Sorry, this is all pretty new to me. And I’m not sure what you mean by ultimate divinity and all that. I’m still thinking about how it does me no good to ask you questions about what my future holds, which is what I really want to know?

As far as your future is concerned, I can share, your future holds delights and wonders beyond your most vivid dreams and creative imagination, in fact far beyond the capacity of the mortal mind to conceptualize.

As to what specific things may happen, allow the wonder of the certain and glorious unknown to inspire you in what your future holds. Choose for yourself to allow your personal faith in the eternal goodness and majestic splendor of God to enrapture and enthrall you. The dreams and visions of heaven, those which many earthly children presently hold, hardly begin to touch upon the magnificence and grandeur that awaits each child who chooses life.

So the future is great. I always figured heaven was pretty cool, at least a lot better than here. That much I can believe. You said you were my friend, how could that be if I don’t know you?

(It’s almost as if I wanted to, or thought I could trick my new friend, just to make sure all this was real.)

Your future in this life can be much better as well, if you so choose to embrace the truth of your being.

You know me, you’ve recognized me many times, but you have as well denied knowing me, set as nothing our work, and rejected my love. Most all of your earthly brothers and sisters believe in angels, some more than others, but all human beings cry out to an unknown supernatural help outside themselves when they find themselves in times of real reckoning or moments of deep despair, if not before.

Some of your fellows in the flesh, those with enough faith, know how to work with us and allow us to become a working reality in their lives, as you can too.

Work with you? How do we do that?

With the wholehearted faith in a Heavenly Father and abiding in His will for you.

By Heavenly Father, I take it you mean God?

God is the Universal Father of all things and all beings, albeit His children have many names for Him.

So what exactly is the will of the Father in heaven?

His will for you is a never-ending journey of progressive ascension in Spirit perfection,
