    My Mum is a Hero

While the lazy afternoon was dragging into the street enchanted by children’s laughter and golden yellow leaves, a loud and unusual barking could be heard in the neighbor’s back yard. While she was going down the street, Melody stopped for a moment and cast a glance at the poor dog that was obviously struggling with a chain around its neck. Darling, get your bag and wait for me at home, all right? her Mum said mildly.

Melody nodded charmingly and ran off. A few minutes later, Mum entered the house looking very determined and important.

Well, if this little fellow doesn’t belong to anybody, then we’ll take care of it, won’t we, Melody? Mum smiled while the dog was bouncing in her arms.

Mum, you’ve brought the dog! little Melody exclaimed and jumped off the chair.

"Darling, it probably wasn’t the best decision I could make, but
