Linda Lee Love was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on July 3, 1949. I now live in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I’ve lived here for twelve years, and this is home now. I’ve loved writing poetry since I was a young girl. In those days it was about love, but in the nineties, my poetry became all about what the Lord put in my heart.

Before I Come Home

Lord, I thank you when you wake me up in the morning,

And bless me with one more day.

So with joy I can praise your name,

In any and every way, until I come home on that blessed day.

Before I come home, I know Lord you’ll make me right.

Before I come home, Lord, I know there’s no battle,

Because I will have won the fight.

Before I come home, Lord, I want to do everything

You blessed me to do here.

Before I come home, I want people to praise you everywhere.

Before I come home, Lord, I want to help

Make this world a better place.

Before I come home, I would love for each and everyone to be in your Grace.

Before I come home I want your sweet love just every place.

Blessed

Lord, you’ve blessed me to see another day.

In your Grace and Mercy I will get to pray.

Blessed because you opened my eyes this morning,

To see this day that you have made.

Blessed, to be in my right mind so for one more day,

Your wonderful name I can praise.

Blessed to be able to do anything that you will have me to do,

Blessed to have a Father as wonderful and loving as you.

Blessed to be in your Grace and Mercy, just one more day,

Blessed to show you Lord, just how much I love
