While there, they find a castle in the woods, where a lady is being held prisoner by her sister, an evil witch. Also trapped in the woods is a knight, held there by the enchanted trees. He is there to defend his lady fair, but will he be able to save her?

Chapter 1
ENGLAND
Cornwall 900AD.
T wo little girls are sitting on a bench in the meadow outside their home squealing with delight and clapping their hands. In front of them stands a table with beakers, bowls, flowers, leaves and other weird looking things. To the side of the table an oddly dressed man is standing with a short stick in one hand and a small insect in the other. He has a tattered black pointy hat on his head of grey long straggly hair with an unkept look. A long dark cloak fastened across his chest with a large Celtic Brooch fastener, over a course weaved tabard tied at the waist by twisted gold cord. Covering his legs, dark blue leggings and on his feet are boots with long pointed toes curled back over his feet.
Meredenith and Mordenia, the two little girls sitting on the bench, shout Again, again uncle.
Uncle is showing the girls some magic tricks, he knows his nieces enjoy watching his tricks each time he visits his sister. Come on over little ones and I’ll show you how to do this magic trick.
Can we uncle Merlin, can we, can we, they squeal.
As the girls take a small insect in one hand and twirl their other hand holding a small stick. There’s a short flash of light and a cracking sound. Mordenia, very well done but don’t make it look so fierce.
Merlin praised. But I like big and angry uncle.
replied Mordenia in a sharp tone to her uncle. She pushed her creation towards her younger sister, Meredenith dropped her insect and ran frightened to the safety of her mothers’ skirt.
Merlin, dear brother what are you teaching these girls of mine now, poor Meredenith is so afraid. She’ll have nightmares again.
said Madgenta.
Ah, dear sister forgive a poor humble magician,
as he takes his hat from his head and bows low to his sister, I do think that Mordenia will be a great sorceress if she would only cool her ardent tantrums and control her powers from being bigger and fiercer.
Their father is off fighting in the Crusades as are most knights and their squires. Madgenta their mother works hard in the nearest castle as a seamstress.
She is so proud of her daughters but also worried how advanced Mordenias’ skills are becoming. Both girls have inherited magic powers, same as her brother Merlin. He is attached to the owner of the castle, as the healer and prophet. He is close enough to visit his sister often and supervise the children’s schooling in the magical arts. This visit was to inform his sister that one of the Ladies in the castle requires her services as a seamstress. Merlin also travelled far on his visits to the surrounding castles to administer his herbs and portions and often he took one or both of his niece’s.
Chapter 2
ENGLAND 2004AD.
W hat excitement there was in the car on the way home from school, when Violet collected the two girls? Both girls were talking at once and Violet really did not
